Yang best pasal album ni ialah…:
untuk bahagian rakaman Friday Rock Show 1979
- Ni belum pun dorang hasilkan album pertama dorang, dan dorang main live kat studio untuk BBC buat rakaman.
- Kredit kat sampul cd sebut Tony Parson & Doug Sampson untuk gitar dan drums.

Rakaman live Reading tahun 1982 pulak- Rakaman rasmi paling terakhir buat Clive Burr?
- Korang kena dengar part Bruce Dickinson cakap kat penonton pasal masalah dorang kena panggil Satanist kat Amerika. Lawak ada, heran pun ada.

Rakaman live Reading tahun 1980 pulak istimewa nye ialah
- Susah nak dapat rakaman live rasmi lineup first album Maiden dengan Dennis Stratton masih ada sebelum dia kena buang dan Adrian Smith ganti.
- Best wei tiap2 lagu…Paul Dianno memang lain sangat dari Bruce, dan suara dia sesuai untuk lagu2 Maiden zaman tu. Cara dia perkenalkan lagu aku suka sangat.

- Lagu Killers ngan liriks berlainan. Lain abis.. Dan jugak gitars dia lain sikit tak macam kita tahu lagu ni sekarang. Mungkin pasal lagu ni belum lagi dirakamkan di studio bersama Adrian Smith untuk album kedua Maiden.
- Lepas Transylvania, Paul Dianno introduce tiap2 sorang ahli Maiden. Aku tak paham sangat slang dia, tapi dengar macam menarik..
Dennis Stratton dia sebut ‘vokals, guitars, “, dan Dave Murray dia perkenalkan sebagai Blonde Bomber.



Rakaman Live Monsters Of Rock Donington 1988
- Pada aku sebagai peminat Maiden, kalo ada satu show Maiden aku wish aku ada , ialah ni show. Pasal pada aku, ni show antara paling penting dan bersejarah untuk Maiden. Headline MOR kat negara sendiri depan 107,000 peminat dan openers dorang Helloween, GNR, Megadeth, DLR, Kiss.

- Cuma sampai sekarang Maiden belum keluarkan rakaman ni sebagai rakaman penuh jadi ngan Lapan lagu kat album ni campur tiga lagu live kat single Clairvoyant, jadi kita dah ada 11 lagu edaran rasmi konsert ni.
- Mungkin Maiden tak mau keluarkan live ni sampai lain kali? Atau mungkin masih teringat dua peminat dorang mati, jatuh kat padang berlumpur dan lemas dihempap asakan masa GNR perform pada siang hari?



- Untuk pengumpul bootlegs Maiden, sampai sekarang takde video footage konsert ni. Ni yang paling mengherankan. Ada satu tapi rakaman dari screen video besar, tapi ok ler. Mungkin Maiden ada simpan rakaman konsert ni? Cuma dorang tunggu masa sesuai je untuk pasaran.
- Selalu kalo dengar live album, boleh enjoy ribuan peminat nyanyi sama2 kan ? Tapi untuk cd ni, seriously, bukan ribuan nyanyian tapi macam roar gitu. Melayu panggil mengaum eh? Kadang2 menyeramkan bunyi 107,000 peminat nyanyi sama2 terutama Moonchild dan SSOASS.
- Last sekali… Lepas dengar bermacam2 bootlegs Seventh Tour Of A Seventh Tour dan jugak tengok Maiden England nye video tape, aku baru confirm tahu lepas dengar cd ni yang bunyi bayi menangis tu ( iringan ngan gambaran air batu besar tu ) ialah penghabisan Moonchild dan bukan permulaan Evil That Men Do. Pada aku, ni info yang aku suka sangat pasal aku suka album SSOASS ni. Nanti ada time bleh borak pasal cerita ni eh…

The Highlights are plentiful on the four separate recordings in both cds, some of them:
Friday Rock Show 1979
- This was before they even released their first album.
- The credits on the booklet list Tony Parsons(guitars) and Doug Sampson(drums) as part of the Maiden line-up that record this for the BBC.

Reading 1982- The very last of Clive Burr official recordings?
- Satanism in America and the problems Maiden faced over there back in 1982, Bruce talking about this before Children Of The Damned.
- The Prisoner was fast and as usual I so like this song.

Reading 1980
- The more I listen to this recording of Reading 1980 the more I love it because Maiden was still very early days then with Dennis Stratton(guitars) and the music is so exciting and Paul Dianno was so different. From the audience sound, its so clear they are so well-loved even then.
- Its quite difficult to find Paul Dianno era official live audios and with 6 fantastic songs like Remember Tomorrow and Prowler from Reading 1980 here, its great.
- Killers – This song was not yet recorded on the 1981 album. DIFFERENT LYRICS and the guitars with Dennis Stratton are of course different from the way we know this song with Adrian Smith.
- Transylvania – I really like the way Paul Dianno introduce songs. This song ends with introductions of each member of the band with Paul calling Dave Murray the ‘Blonde Bomber’ I think.

Donington Monsters Of Rock 1988
- This is definitely my favourite recordings on this double cd set. I think Donington 1988 was one of Maiden’s career highlights. I have always wish to have the full official recordings for both video and audio.
As we all know, the only video of Maiden’s set that we are aware of is the super low quality one recorded from the big screen. For the audio version, we already have The Clairvoyant single together with The Prisoner & Heaven Can Wait. So adding on to the eight songs here. We now have 11 songs from Donington 88.

- The roar of the 107,000 fans especially when they sing along and it make songs like Moonchild, Seventh Son , and Wrathchild extra awesome.
- After lisitening to many Seventh Tour bootlegs and watching the Maiden England video, I realized now that officially, the baby’s cry is not meant as the start of The Evil That Men Do but actually the ending of Moonchild. I always thought otherwise.

1) Review "L"inkin Park - Road To Revolution Live At Milton Keynes

a) baru aku tahu macammana bentuk Milton Keynes tu haha. Tapi tak selawa Donington Park. Sapa tahu satu hari dapat pijak rumput Donington or Upton Park sambil tengok the "final goodbye" show haha. Boleh tahan angan2 mat jenin aku.
b) Linkin Pok. Kadang2 tu ah, suka nah ejek, last2 aku yang tukang beli pasal aku suka. Aku dah hogging hmv nye testing booth headphone untuk cd ni pasal aku tak sangka lagu2 LP yang aku suka, makin best lak live untuk telinga aku.

c) Packaging ni ada stiker " Mature - Not for below 16 " gavemen Sg tampal tu aku dah test nengok QC dvd dia haha, ye la kot ada apa2 tak patut macam "wardrobe malfunction" ke haha. Ok je, biasa ler LP tu masa cakap2 ada F word.

d) lagu2 LP yang aku tak minat dulu, tiba2 aku minat, pasal aku rip cd dia kat mp3 aku, aku dengar takde skip2, start sampai abis, actually sampai sebelum Jay Z.
e) lagu2 yang aku suka macam numb, crawling.. terus jadi best giler lak haha.
f) dvd dia best ler...banyak kamera...takde Steve Harris nye edit. haha.

g) kalo tengok dvd sampai abis...atau skip to credits tu, skip fwd lagik, then boleh unlock tiga extra songs - Somewhere I belong, Papercut, Point of Authority.
So actually dvd tu ialah full show LP ni.


2) Lepas tengok dvd LP, terus bukak DVD "W"hitesnake..Live In The Still Of The Night yang 2004 kat Hammersmith tu. O la la....Aku suka aku suka aku suka.... Best best best....I wish I was there, Wont feel out of place pasal audience semua majoriti tua2 haha. Semua lagu best2...Dan David Coverdale....apa dia makan ah? Tua bangka tapi so healthy and good looking still. Tommy Aldridge ada lagi eh..Ni kuno ni.



3) "W"hite Lion - album Mane Attraction. Dah seminggu aku rip dan aku pasang kat mp3 aku. Naik MRT, naik bas, naik LRT, naik bas express, jalan kaki. Earphone tersumbat kat telinga dan dari Lights n Thunder sampai Farewell to You. Semua lagu best..
Ni zaman early 90s. Aku ingat..aku cabut sekolah selalu gi Holland Road lepak2 haha. Ingat Cost Plus kat tepi bridge tu? hah! kuno tu haha!! Dan tu jam ni kaset ada dalam walkman aku. Tapi biasa ah, yang best2 semua upgraded to cd dah hehe. Nanti senang nak buat review ah hahaha. cam tak biasa lak - J-a-n-j-i M-e-l-a-..........



4) "L"oudness - Munetaka Higuchi. Ooooo...cancer. Barah ni laju eh. Dekni liver kenser kan. Tu hari baru dia perasan barah kan? Dahhh mati eh...ni ah...penyakit zaman modern.
Aku nye first reaction was...tu ah dulu apsal zaman Flintstones dulu aku tak gi nengok Loudness kat Sentosa? Jadi nampaknye takkan bleh nengok Loudness dah...unless unless...
anyway, mana aku nak carik minoru niihara nye double live cd? otak jem.

Lat:Keluarga Si Mamat - Last Kopek

Last kopek ceta pasal koleksi Keluarga Si Mamat (first pressing?) 1979. And its a bit of ku di halaman rindu moment for some of these strips.

katun2 yang feature si karakter Mastura ni,
mungkin untuk orang2 Melayu Singapura zaman dulu atau orang Malaysia yang ada sedara mara, kawan kawan atau kerja/membesar kat Spore tu jam, ( aku dapat rasa belen2 dia pasal masa aku membesar tu la smua habis, mass shifting gi duk rumah flat )
terutama yang duk Kampung Melayu Jalan Eunos - Kaki Bukit - Kampung Batak will be nostalgic reading these strips pasal memang ada reference2 zaman dulu.
Dan jugak ada benda tak berubah untuk sapa2 yang ulang alik Singapore - Semenanjung Malaysia dari zaman dulu sampai sekarang..muahaha.

Korang cek out the road names mentioned by Mamat kat strip atas. kuno ni semua.
Also..Sungei Road pun lagi satu legend disebut.
Korang tahu gerai Epok Epok Central? Anyway, ni Lat reference ni semua tak salah area Ubi nye flets dan PIE sekarang (kalo salah please correct it, thanks ). Aku dulu duk atas lagi, belok Jalan Tenaga tu terus lagi masuk dalam punye dalam..hah dulu tu semua melayu nye kampung all the way sampai atas dan sampai bawah ikut mana bas 50,51, 53 (yang seperated kat simpang masjid alkaff kampung melayu original) tu abis tu jam. Aku dah ceta benda2 ni dulu2 kat post topik Pergas kot?





Serius bebual, ketawa siak yang ni aku baca... time aku sekolah late mid to late 80s, East Coast Park tu ( pantai Marine Terrace yang Mastura cakap tu ), ni ler port.
Korang budak2 zaman tu tahu ler ni semua satu deret tu tempat lepak time kita suma balik dari sekolah. P~o~r~t.

Dan of course, sampai sekarang pun, sapa2 orang Malaysia masuk Singapore first time naik public transport, masih boleh guna reference Mastura ajar si Mamat tu.
Naik 170 dari kastam, turun Queen St. Muahaahhaa. Dan aku tergelak tengok blog si naga tu ada gambo bas 170 nye plate. Klassik abis




Ni lak.. Mastura ngan member dia turun KL. Mamat , Dolah, Osmang bawak gi jalan2. kesian sey osmang ngan dolah













So...maybe korang should try gi carik ni pressing if possible, or maybe just buy the current ones at the stores. Worth it, aku tak bedek.

linkin park baru

Entertainment-wise, we sometimes buy something that everyone can enjoy. maklum setiap orang ada lain2 taste in music.
dan aku dah agak mesti kena gelak nye.
tadi lepas smayang jemaat aku gi jalan2 ler kejap so singgah hmv then aku test try ni linkin park baru - milton keynes 2008.

best sey.. banyak2 lagu dorang aku suka ada kat dalam then satu cd ngan satu dvd live untuk $20. So aku before beli aku called better half aku ler, inform dia jangan beli pasal kat Sg harga not bad dan plus a dvd so sambar kat sini je la. Terus aku kena gelak ah...pasal aku kadang2 kat rumah ejek love ones aku dengar linkin pOrk maklum Maiden always kena outvoted.

So nanti aku dah dengar complete ulang2, aku dah nengok dvd dia, nanti aku ceta sini eh...
ni kasi aku rip dulu masuk mp3, dalam bas gi keja bleh dengar..tapi benda2 gini naik bas express baru tangkap feeling muaahaha, sambil tengok pokok kelapa sawit kiri kanan hiway.

laksa siglap & mee rebus

lama tak ceta pasal makan, lets start ngan laksa siglap.
dulu2 selalu jugak makan, tapi lepas pasar geylang serai kena roboh tu memang dah bertahun dah kot tak makan.
Masalahnye aku dah lost track mana peginye gerai2 yang aku suka makan dulu2 tu.
Aku tahu majoriti gerai semua pindah pasar sementara tapi aku dah keliru dan tak cam mana satu penjual.

tu hari balik keja nak gi rumah mak aku, aku singgah kejap pasar sementara geylang serai tu...so teringat nak makan ni lak..biasa ah hari weekday pagi2 pasar geylang serai nye hawker center tak ramai orang, kalo weekend, kirim salam ler.
Harga dua seteng. Nak cakap sedap giler takde ler tapi ok la jugak.

Sambil makan tu aku perasan, ada satu lagi benda aku dah lamaaa tak makan..Kacang pool. Nanti nanti la.




Anyway, sapa boleh cakap kat aku? International tu dulu pasar geylang serai tu dia kat tepi sekali yang ke arah lorong kedai2 buah kan yang dorang ni memang ada nama ler untuk nasik ayam dorang tapi sekarang dah more variety eh?
tu ah aku pun konfius is it masih sama ownership ke tak ke..pasal International Nasik Ayam kat pasar lama dah kira established ler.

best of the b'sides - Eddie's Archive review pt 3

Best Of The B’Sides



Some spare time to write another of my be quick or be dead, full of nonsense thoughts on one more album that came with the year 2002/2003 Eddie’s Archive boxset. First in Malay then in English.

Album dua cd yang ada 31 lagu ni lagi satu album dalam boxset Eddie’s Archive.


Even as a sketch, The Trooper Eddie is very pretty.

Koleksi ni memang sesuai untuk peminat2 yang mungkin ambik jalan mudah untuk dapatkan majoriti lagu bsides Maiden dari 1980 hingga 2001. Senang pe tak yah buang masa buang duit carik dan kumpul singles individu, first ten years 10 cd, atau yang korang ingat pertengahan 90an dulu ada kejap tu keluar double cd untuk tiap2 album sampai Fear Of The Dark.

Untuk aku, buang ruang betul ler koleksi ni untuk Eddie’s Archive.


If I have another chance to ask Derek Riggs to draw another personalised Eddie for me besides the Trooper for his autographed book, it will be a toss up between the Stranger In A Strange Land Eddie or the 2 Minutes To Midnight Eddie.

Jadi cd ni kira tergolong ‘ cd pelengkap koleksi bukan cd nak dengar pun ‘.
Lagipun tak semua lagu ada. Contoh I Live My Way takde. Massacre pun takde. Padahal ni dua lagu best.
Lagi satu, lawak nasik tambah kat belakang beberapa lagu tu tak salah aku takde. Maksud aku nasik tambah macam kalo lepas Black Bart Blues kan ada Nicko McBrain buat merapek merhaban. Lagi satu lepas Space Station No 5 dah takde Bruce buat lawak sorang2.

Secara am nye, Best Of The Bsides ni istimewa pada aku pasal
- Gambar kulit depan cd dia. Aku rasa ni antara paling lawak dan nakal dalam banyak2 Eddie.
- Manager dorang Rod Smallwood kasi komen untuk kebanyakkan lagu dalam cd ni dan memang kalo sapa tak pernah dengar sebagian Bsides macam Sheriff of Huddersfield, korang try carik gi dengar. Lawak giler.
- Semua lagu memang best Cuma pada aku sepatutnye Maiden jadikan album ni tiga cd, bukan dua. Pastikan semua lagu Bsides dari 1980 hingga 2001 gitu ada kat dalam ni full version.
Marketing strategy kot, konfem masa akan datang ni semua akan dikeluarkan lagi dalam bentuk bungkusan lain. Mesti Maiden fans akan beli punye.

Officially I think this album only comes with the Eddie’s Archive. It was never marketed as a stand alone album.



To many fans, this is an easy way to get most of the Bsides floating around without making too much effort spending time and money searching for individual singles, the first ten years collection or those special double cd formats for each album released back somewhere in mid 1990s.
Speaking from the point of a fan who has the songs in other formats beforehand,
this is the least important double cd for the Eddie’s Archive because of two main sore points:



one of the naughtiest, cheekiest, rudest Eddie ever. Who is the unfortunate to write 'Maiden Rule' on his backside


Firstly, although it has a huge tracklist of thirty one ( 31 ) songs on two cds featuring b-sides to Maiden singles from 1980 till 2000 but its not complete. There are a few b-sides not around especially the song I Live My Way which up to now, can only be found on the Man On The Edge vinyl and the only way most fans can get on cd is to seek out the Japanese original 2cd pressing of the X-Factor album.

The other glaring omission is Massacre from the Can I Play With Madness single. Not forgetting the Mission From Harry track that was actually Nicko and Steve quarelling with Bruce purposely adding fuel to the fire and secretly taping the heated dispute.
I’d rather they have put out something else like another live album from another period or make this collection of Bsides a proper complete one by making it a triple cd set.




Secondly, some of the tracks itself are sort of edited. Sorry if I got this wrong as I think I just listen to these two cds only once, but Black Bart Blues ending is missing the secret recordings of Nicko fooling around in the studio and also Bruce stand up comedy act following the end of Space Station No 5 is sadly gone.
So it should have been a triple cd set right?
Anyway, the songs itself are perfectly fine, songs by Maiden themselves and cover versions of songs by other bands redone with Maiden’s touch.





The highlight of this album
- The packaging has a collection of different versions of Eddies we know so well in sketches. Check them out on each page and on both the cds.
- Rod Smallwood writes the introduction, and also give his comments on most songs. His comments for Sheriff Of Huddersfield is hilarious. “the lyrics are untrue and unjust. Pending major legal action”.
The cover features one of Eddie’s most cheeky, childish rudeness and naughtiest pose ever. But it fits the theme of the album perfectly in more than one way.


Lastly, as I said earlier, the songs itself are fine, but I just wish it was a triple cd so all the bsides from the early days to 2001 can be squeezed inside fully.
