my introduction to X-Japan was a cheap Taiwan release boxset more than 10 years ago, and all the studio albums are in there.

Aku gi kedai aku nampak boxset beberapa artis yang dorang repackaged, lepas tu semua album tu letak dalam kotak, paper sleeved mini-lp style, contoh cam RageOfTheMachine ada lima album sumbat kat boxset, harga dalam S$40 tak salah aku. Bruce Springsteen 8 cd, pun mini-lp style, cantik2 boxset. Sony tak salah ni smua. Puas hati kan kalo minat? Terutama untuk sapa yang nak build up koleksi ori.
Tapi aku tak minat la. Saje je ceta. So meh aku cerita cammana aku suka kat X-Japan tu yang aku belum start koleksi, lagi stress paham2 je la cd2 band Jepun punyelah sakit hati nak carik, kalo jumpa pun harga memang lagi mahal selalunye, tapi ni terus jumpa boxset murah, dan ni smua sebelum zaman Ebay, skarang ebay banyak Korea/Taiwan pressings....semua studio album ada kat dalam...
ni cerita dah lama dah pun, lebih sepuluh tahun lepas beli.. tapi skarang baru nak review lepas aku nampak Sony Columbia Epic nye artists boxsets mini-lp gitu..memang untung la untuk yang minat.

I first heard about X-Japan a dozen years ago thru some strong recommendations at some European discussion forums. A reader was asking everyone to give Silent Jealousy a listen. Those were the glorious days of AudioGalaxy, and I was hooked. I start to listen more and it gets frustrating because you cannot find X-Japan cds easily. Then I went to Tower Records at Bukit Bintang and saw this boxset. Its original, but since I cant afford Japanese pressings, a cheap Taiwan press will do.




So you have Vanishing Vision which is their sort of an Indie small label released, with Unfinished of course, and early Kurenai or something, I'm typing this from memory so I dont really check the details.
Maybe next time I will do a review.

You have Blue Blood , which I had already reviewed the Remastered Version which I think you can find the link at the bottom of this post under the labels section.
Which of course have the finished Unfinished.

Jealousy, the 29mins song Art Of Life and Dahlia.. Maybe one day got time, can talk about all these cds.

The packagings with the lyrics booklets are good enough for me, so sometimes hunting down Taiwan or Korean pressings of Japanese rock bands that we like is good enough especially if the Japanese pressings are so expensive.

Now, if only I can find a cheap but original complete OUTRAGE collection...
Still cant afford to get their new live double cd yet, now they have this double dvd coming out..
Yes, its all in Japanese, but... I think the 2nd dvd is a full show of the Rise and Shine cds.

Ada yang main lagu ni kat atas gunung setiap tahun ingat suami dah mati, ada yang teringat bapak dia suruh dengar lagu ni sama2 masa dia kecik sebelum bapak dia bunuh diri, ada yang teringat abang dia dengar lagu ni dan mati kemalangan motor, ada yang teringat bapak dia, ada ibu yang teringat anak perempuan kena ambik orang lain dan harapkan dia yang besarkan anak dia, ada teringat anak sedara mati.., ada cerita mimpi anak dan suami mati sebelum betul2 terjadi.., teringat si adik mati kena bunuh, ... macam2 cerita2 sayu masing2...maknanya lagu ni memang bermakna betul untuk ramai orang...


Tu pasal aku sejak dengar kaset Queensryche Empire zaman muda2 dulu ( ewah ) aku menyampah giler lagu ni.. pasal sedih sayu muram sangat. Aku tak sanggup nak dengar.. Silent Lucidity tu memang makna sangat dalam... pemahaman dalam suasana diam, pengawalan mimpi...
tapi terpulang masing2 nak intepret lagu ni..

Giler ah kalo kena hidup merempat macam Della Brown..tak tau mana nak pergi, giler aku cakap. tapi ni lain kali boleh cerita..
Tapi pasal lagu Silent Lucidy ni la... salah timing dengar, buat mood aku jadi surammm muraamm je.

So adakah satu hari nanti terdekat aku akan sambar Empire 20th Anniversary boxset?

Arrived :-) Greeting Card Maiden and magazine no 88

Penantian yang menyeksakan. Pagi cek letter box, petang cek lagi, malam2 buta pun cek lagi. Tujuh minggu sey tunggu... aku ingat dah hilang ke, terhantar negeri lain ke.

At long last , the fanclub magazine number 88 and the Iron Maiden Christmas and Seasons Greeting Card 2010 arrived kelmarin. Thank you postal staffs everywhere.

These items were posted on 6th December, but better late than never.

For those interested - I understand Maiden FC have two methods of delivering, the merchandise orders will be lightning quick but for magazines, it will be slower. I guess different postage prices.

So firstly this is how their Xmas card looks like..

Moving on to the magazine itself.. and ooo how I love these revamped fanclub magazines, A4 sized over 40+ pages of full color high quality paper with no advertisements whatsoever. 100% Maiden content.



The cover is the Eddie used to decorate the new world tour announcements, and he's still holding the globe which shows South East Asia.

On the above photo is also the poster for this issue. A very nice Steve Bomber Harris in action photo. The flip side of the poster is Dave and Jan.

Ironic is it? Hooks In You. Its the last H contribution before he first left Maiden in 1990. The start of a testing period if there ever was one for Steve Harris and Maiden and their loyal fans.
Now.. all is well, the colors of the rainbow shining bright for the fans and Maiden is at the peak of their popularity worldwide.

I always love looking at snapshots of Nicko from behind the drum kit.

Looking at the small things, the colour of his drinks, setlist paper, his wristbands, accessories..
Ah yes on the interview in this magazine he did mentioned about searching for bonus footages for the DVD of Rhythm Of The Beast, but sadly as I checked and reviewed the dvd sometime back, there's nothing.


The guest band and musicians interviewed with regards to Maiden in this issue is Marillion. Lots of good info especially the late 80s early 90s period.




An article written by Dave's guitar tech about the storm during Finland's Sonisphere with Maiden's crew plane toppling over, and all the equipment damaged and collapsing and sadly a fan's death. Its nice Bruce went on stage and announce Alice Cooper and Maiden will play irregardless of the weather disaster and damges. The use of 30 hairdryers to dry the equipments and all the things that the crew members did to ensure Maiden can play for the fans waiting in the heavy storm.

A conversation between Alice Cooper doing his radio show and Bruce talking about the weather situation and Bruce describing the scenes when Maiden was on stage.

memang kalo perlu aku naik teksi, kalo tak perlu, Heaven Can Wait! LRT sua.

Anyway, aku nak cakap..

Satu benda penting untuk aku ialah mengawal waktu yang aku ada.

Of course sesekali ada waktu untuk 'malingering' dan 'hurray-hurray'.
tapi selain tu, waktu penting untuk aku...

Dan 'pindah/tak jadi pindah/kena paksa pindah/degil nak pindah/masalah pembelian tiket/kebimbangan jadual bas awal pagi yang jadi tanda tanya kat terminal canggih baru/takde kaunter individu setiap syarikat bas untuk kita tanya masalah/ dan whatever CRAP that is causing so much damn CONFUSION for Southern Bound Express Bus Services departing from Bukit Jalil / Tasik Selatan debacle need to be solved fast.

Secara peribadi sebagai pengguna tetap, aku tak paham dan tak setuju konsep yang cuba dipaksa dilakukan oleh pihak Terminal Tasik Selatan ni.
Tapi aku takde pilihan, asal bas aku naik, contoh bas pagi giler paling awal berlepas aku dapat naik tanpa masalah macam biasa, aku dah happy.


Aku dah pergi dah terminal baru tu, memang dah macam airport! Incredible jadual bas2 berlepas ( Sri Maju & Konsortium dah pindah sana, yang lain banyak2 tu degil ) betul2 macam kat airport screen besar tu.
Mungkin dah takde makan murah2 lagi dah ye tak, tapi penting ialah aku nak naik bas apa , pukul berapa, semua berjalan lancar macam biasa macam dari zaman Puduraya..
Walau kadang2 Chaotic giler tapi everything will fall in place.

IN FACT by right, hari ni DATELINE.. Tapi seems bukit jalil masih survive lagik, till dont know when.
