GOODBYE MetalHammer/ClassicRock Magazines??? & the audio bootleg for ACDC Manchester Etihad Stadium June 2016 dan eksiden bas kat Muar aku baru tahu tadi, dan aku baru lalu jugak direction lagi satu sebelum tu..

First in English then in Malay Language.

Something really horrible and very sad news in the LITERARY world.
At least to me.

Teamrock the owners for two of the UK magazines that are in favour of rock and heavy metal music (and certainly these two magazines are very pro-Iron Maiden) are in serious financial trouble.

All the staffs are out of job, and without salary for the month of December.
And seems the publication of Metal Hammer and Classic Rock is no more?

Lets hope something positive will appear for the staff, and lets hope another company takes over the magazines and long may both magazines reign in the future.


Maybe its readers like me who are partly to blame.

I seldom buy magazines, I even now limit my spendings for musical releases, I have completely stop buying vinyls also.
I had decided that before all my favourite bands retire or stop playing, I want to see them play as much as possible backpacking to Europe if possible for at least until Maiden retires. LOL!!

If I buy a Magazine, surely its because it has a Maiden content that is worth buying and maybe worth keeping.
I have not much storage space, so I think I need to remove the pages that I like, and throw the rest of the magazines away. (Work In Progress).

Anyway, a quick go thru of my collection and I found some of my Metal Hammer & Classic Rock Magazines with Maiden on the cover.

Again, lets wish all the staff who had provide us so much delight, information and entertainment writing, reviewing about our favourite bands will have new jobs soon.
I think there is a worldwide online appeal to collect funds for them,
and like I say, hopefully another company would buy over the names and continue the legacy of these two magazines.

OK next,

Whenever possible, I would like to listen back, and try to collect audio recordings (bootlegs) of shows I attended.

If the shows are in Singapore and Malaysia, I would be most of the time smuggling a recording device to bootleg the show for my repeats listening,
but, if its outside of Singapore & Malaysia, most of the time I would be going MENTAL...
And I expect other tapers to do the job for me. LOL!!


I was thinking back of the ACDC show with AXL Rose that I attend for 2016 Manchester Etihad Stadium which I did backpacking for.

I know there is Flac recording of an audience recording which is quite good in quality.
I saw it in EBAY. Its for UU$40. OK, I have no money for that.
So a quick go around the internet and I got it for FREE. LOL!!

I believe its the same recording. Not bad really, there was 75,000 crazy AC/DC fans that night, so the taper is really doing well LOL!!

Its 1AM, I need to be ready for work at 5AM, yes Christmas day and its a work day for me.

I am listening to ACDC Manchester 2016, the taper does a good job, and it does bring back my memories of that night.

The audience was amazing. One of the photo I took that night.
I had forgotten what song haha.

I wont be going out of my way to see ACDC again in the future, but if our paths meet, I will be there again.

I hope they play Heatseeker and Problem Child next time. LOL!!!!

Salam Semua... Nanti... besok lusa tulat akan datang, aku akan cerita kat korang, suasana surreal yang memang terjadi kat sepanjang North South Highway pada malam 23 December dua hari lepas.
Memang hujan lebat sepanjang panjang, banyak hal kenderaan..
Bus aku naik, stop kat Yong Peng, mekanik cek alignment brake ok.......
Aku sampai kat destinasi aku Larkin,
tapi bas Alisan JB Sentral ke TBS tak sampai.

Aku sedih sangat dapat tahu eksiden tu. So far 14 meninggal tapi memang malam tu macam "surreal sangat". Tu ah bas driver bas yang aku naik boleh sampai panggil mekanik cammana tu?
hujan lebat, mekanik basah kuyup masuk bawah bas cek brake.
Hormat aku kat bas driver yang bas aku naik. He is a responsible man. Mungkin, dia pun nervous malam tu.

Syarikat Teamrock yang beli Metal Hammer dan ClassicRock berapa tahun lepas dah kena ambik tindakan mahkamah,
Semua staff tak dibayar gaji bulan 12. Tapi ni latest aku baca kat tenet, dah berapa puluh ribu dah peminat2 majalah dua ni dah kumpul, derma kilat nak kasi kat staff staff ni semua, dah la krismas untuk dorang.

Harap Metal Hammer dan ClassicRock akan terbit semula secepat mungkin , tentu ada syarikat nak ambik alih brand ni dua.

OK,

aku teringat pasal aku gi backpacking tengok band rock bulan 6 lepas kat Europe, 
dan cam setiap show aku pergi, aku cuba carik bootlegs peminat rakam,
so aku teringin nak dengar balik show malam tu yang aku pergi ialah ACDC...
memang tiba2 teringat gitu...

dan antara aku pergi menengok ialah ACDC main kat Etihad Stadium. Dahsyat, 65 ribu? 75 ribu peminat Hardcore ACDC malam tu, sampai kat paling belakang semua hurray-hurray tonggang terbalik. HAHA

So aku teringat, aku takde bootleg malam tu, aku ada tape, tapi macam aku cakap kat atas, aku dalam keadaan hurray-hurray dan berdengung pasal aku tak tido dah sejak abis kerja terus naik flight terus tukar kat Abu Dhabi terus sampai Manchester, buang bag kat backpack nye tempat, terus naik train gi stadium MAN CITY, dah la security dah pergi congkong buah kana jeruk cina aku, 

Security paling bukit la, tapi aku tak terkejut la kan, macam sial nye football team.

dan jugak faktor bulan Ramadhan, tak silap aku, aku buka puasa masa lagu "IF YOU WANT BLOOD YOU GOT IT", aku buka puasa makan kurma dalam keadaan huru-hara.

So, aku gi la carik mana2 rakaman bootleg terbaik, then aku perasaan ooohh yeah, ada label yang print bootleg release malam tu tapi mahal la.

So aku carik rakaman sama, so aku jumpa free. Nak cover, buat sendiri la... haha.

I was tired and VERY sleepy so I never buy and wear the pretty cute DEVIL HORN.

(Tu hari aku dah cerita pasal jeruk cina dan buah kana cina aku semua dituduh... benda2 haram oleh Man City FC nye security kan, pasal ni tempat dorang.. aku pun dah puji Axl Rose so hari ni aku tampal foto dan cakap omputeh je la, aku pun pakai tablet susah jugak nak tulis banyak2,,
lagi satu, perfume aku dalam botol kecik pun aku terus buang la, banyak songeh la security, aku bukan nak tengok bola..
aku nak tengok konsert ACDC, satu band yang dihormati seluruh masyarakat dunia.

Ok... selamat berpuasa...

ni aku kat Jerman, kat tepi Sungei Rhine, sejuk giler... puasa pun sama panjang nak 19 jam gitu, tapi sini aku kat Sankt Goar ni makanan susah la.
oohh nanti aku cerita2 aku kembara gi village2 dan pekan2 kecil kat sini naik boat.
seram siot Sungei Rhine. Deras giler dan besar giler.

Besok Ritchie Blackmore Rainbow akan main kat sini.

I plan to include AC/DC in my Iron Maiden Donington backpacking plans before Brian Johnson health issues.
i read in the internet all these complaints, boycotts, returning back tickets, anger, dissapointments, hatred, BITCHING like bitches.

Its Angus / (and Malcolm) Young's band. Angus can do as he pleased.
Furthermore Cliff William is there, Chris Slade is drummer for Razors Edge era. Stevie Young is their family member and had played Rhytm for AC/DC before too.

So by the time I reach Etihad Stadium after minumum serious lack of sleep of up to 48 hours with just a quick nap here and there. - working night shifts at job- pack up in my huge haversack bag - rush to airport- transit halfway in another airport.

I am groggy, the Eltihad Security at entrance was shitty but alas I managed to enter the stadium.
Sleep awhile, make friend and chat with a South African, doze of awhile at the back of the standing area.
Catch the opening band, forgot the name now, I cant be bothered to google it up. Not bad but no thanks.

And its AC/DC about 8.25pm appeared. Long long intro of astronaut video.

I never realise its an ACDC the GNR singer show.
for me its ACDC.
Axl is a very very good singer when he wants to be, and he is a professional.

W. AXL ROSE IS JUST A SALARY MAN EARNING HIS MONEY FROM ANGUS TO BE PUNCTUAL, GO ON STAGE FOR TWO HOURS, BE AT BEST BEHAVIOUR, MINUMUM OF TALKING AND SINGS THE WAY ONLY AXL ROSE CAN SING FOR 23 SONGS.
WHAT A PERFORMANCE FROM AXL.
he did justice to all eras of ACDC.

I think the 65,000 fans completely forget its Axl Rose after the first two songs.
Its just AC/DC rocking on stage.

Axl is like a school boy on stage respecting his teachers, and masters which are Angus Young and the brand name of ACDC.

ACDC rhythm section is always masterful.
Axl Rose does the job he needed to do very very well and its the best decision I think ACDC made in choosing him.
The fans who had boycotted the shows, return tickets, bitching on the internet,
well... they can do what they want.
- The stadiums are still full by other fans.

But Angus Young was out of this world. Really out of this world.

Thats it... Its the firtst time for me in manchester  and I found the public transportation to Etihad was convenient and easy. Going back to the city, of course with 65000 needs a bit patience but still no problem.
if i was not sleepy and zombie-like due to severe lack of sleep,
i would have enjoyed the experience much more.

Anyway, ACDC is like a warm up before the crazy days and nights of serious rain and horrible muddy, mud water floodings of Donington Download Festival and of course tomorrow nite Ritchie Blackmore Rainbow at Lorelei and I am typing this at Sankt Goar.

In conclusion..

Acdc have seriously An amazing amazing fan base.
the build up to the concert and you can feel it, you can sense. They have this huge hardcore fan base of all ages both men and women who have such a great time rocking with AC/DC.
I guess not only in Manchester, but throughout UK and all Europe.
and i am in Germany to see Rainbow, and wearing an ACDC tshirt has a warm and friendly gestures and hellos given to me. LOL.

I finally got a ticket for the ACDC (with Axl Rose) at Manchester Eltihad Stadium show.
( I was a bit panicky I cannot get any Standing Tickets on the field LOL!! but I got it - Pitch Standing).
This will be One day before Donington Park Download Festival starts.

Fri Donington - some nice bands on this day..
Sat Donington - Black Sabbath final Donington show + Megadeth + some other ones that I like
Sun Donington - Iron Maiden headlining with Saxon + Ghost + Amon Amarth + lots of other great clashes. Sunday at Donington will be Crazy!!!

It will worth to backpack and travel to Midlands UK for the rock fans this year. Wherever you are in the world.


It will be about 3 hours bus ride from Manchester to Derby, so I can sleep on the bus then LOL!!!

I hope I can make it whatever this crazy lunatic looney-tunes plan I had on my mind, I just do my best and hope my plans to backpack for my Maiden Europe 2016 is succesful.

I want to talk-cock about the uncertainty and mixed feelings about ACDC right now.
But first in Malay.

ACDC ni kan, dorang punyai fans yang giler2 dan setia, cammana band2 lain pun ada peminat setia dan giler2.

Waktu aku gi HELLFEST 2014 (atau sebenarnye gi mana2 la backpack sorang2 gi festival rock atau konsert rock), 
aku kan sorang jadi secara automatic kalau ko kesorangan kat stesen keretapi ke hapa ke, aku akan buat kawan ngan orang lain traveller yang sorang2 yang kita tahu datang dari jauh pasal size bag dorang memang besar dari biasa haha , 
so sama lah waktu tu, aku cariklah perantau sorang2 gi Hellfest.

Jadi aku kenal la dan buat kawan ngan satu orang dari Switzerland. .

So dia paling minat ACDC, so seronok la dalam keretapi dengar cerita2 dia kembara tengok2 ACDC, paling syok cerita dia zaman muda dia gitu, dia sorang2 travel pergi Donington untuk tengok ACDC main tahun 1991 kat Donington.
yang sampai sekarang kita boleh tonton suasana gempak kejadian itu kat DVD ACDC Live In Donington.
Dia pun jugak cerita kat aku... Dia pernah tengok Clive Burr main ngan Iron Maiden . Legend sangat story2 dia.
Ni kira legend serupa kalau jumpa mana2 brader2 Melayu yang bukak cerita pasal tengok Black Dog Bone dan Sweet Charity beraksi kat National Theater awal 80an dulu.

So, apa lagi dengar cerita orang Switzerland ni, abis Terngangah mulut aku dalam keretapi nak balik Paris dari Hellfest Clisson Nantes dengar ni semua dia cerita pada Isnin pagi tu. Memang peminat abis la kira.

So aku tak pernah tengok ACDC main, aku cuma tunggu ACDC main kat KL atau Singapura hahaha.
Tapi dalam aku tengah berkira2 nak backpacking sorang2 ke Donington Park untuk Download Festival 2016 ni,
Peluang dan ruang yang sangat cun berlaku, kumpulan ACDC kebetulan akan beraksi hari Khamis di Stadium Eltihad di Manchester.
Manchester dan Derby kalau naik bas ekpress perjalanan dia cuma 3 jam gitu...

Jadi aku dah plan nak tengok ACDC la ni kat Manchester...dan terus pagi2 buta naik bas gi Derby untuk festival Download tiga hari tiga malam.

Tapi laporan yang rasanya dah 24 jam ke belum berita ni?? yang mengejutkan dunia pasal keadaan Brian Johnson... Hmmnn hati aku berkata Angus Young dan pengurusan ACDC macam dah plan betul2 pasal tak seperti dijangka peminat ACDC takkan terus berkubur serta merta, tapi ACDC nampaknye akan guna penyanyi jemputan?

Jadi, nampaknye kalau aku dapat hadir ke Manchester pada malam tersebut, dan paling penting aku dapat tiket yang aku belum dapat lagi HAHAHA, (siksa ok, ni paling cuak ok, kalau takde tiket atau tiket takde dalam tangan...), maka Phil Ruud takde tapi at least Chris Slade ada, Malcolm Young takde... tapi entah eh...
Laporan aku baca, Brian Johnson memang masalah telinga tapi dia kan suka racing, ada satu kali dia racing dia tak pakai ear-plug terus telinga dia jahanam dan sekarang dia akan pekak selamanya jika dia terus beraksi dengan ACDC.
Dan ni foto diambil satu peminat ACDC dalam jangka masa 24 jam lalu di Atlanta USA.

This photo says it all to me. Its shows ACDC trucks have already arrived in Atlanta for the 8th March show. I dont know how it feel for the fans who got the tickets to that last 10 shows which is postponed?? and knowing even if the band plays on a new date, it wont be Brian Johnson?

As for myself....

I am planning to try to make plans and change my backpacking trip to Donington 2016 so I can also catch ACDC in Manchester in 2016.
Reports are saying, ACDC will not cancel any show in Europe, but certainly a clear reading between the lines means Brian Johnson will not be on stage.
But for me, Angus Young controls and decides all things ACDC, so its his call.

If Angus decides to continue and I can make it, and I Managed to get a ticket, then I will see ACDC live for the first time in Manchester this June.
Or else, its ok..
I have been reading some discussion boards and the opinions of ACDC fans, especially the loyal ones, certainly the hardcore ones from all around the world, and also especially those who are already secure to see them on this tour, are mixed.

Me being a Selfish Bastard ,in my heart , I hope - ACDC lets continue, so I hope to see Angus and Cliff Williams (and Chris Slade) play Live at least once in my life in Manchester 2016.
But still any decision would be ok with me...
