Salam and Greetings (as usual first in English then in Bahasa Melayu Malay Language)

While backpacking alone for the Iron Maiden Book Of Soul UK Tour, travelling by long distance buses and trains,
I take the opportunity to walk around and explore the cities and places I went to.

So on one of the Friday, I was already in Liverpool and take the opportunity to attend Friday Prayers at the Central Liverpool Mosque called Al-Rahma Mosque.
I took a slow walk of about 30 minutes to absorb the surrounding and Liverpool environment walking to the mosque from the bustling city centre of Liverpool.

So here are some photos of the place...

Full of different colour skin and languages of peoples from all over the world, understandable as this is England, the UK. Coming from my part of the world, its easy to identify Muslims from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
The sermon of course was in English. The Khatib was not using any script, he got the positive messages across very well, it was near to Ramadhan then.

So here are the photos of the mosque building from outside, the inside, the ablution location, , the main prayer hall and all that.

To get a close up view of the pulpit, I waited till majority of the Friday Prayer Congregation had dispersed.

I hope to go again...

ok apa aku nak cakap eh...

ok....

So masa tengok Iron Maiden main tu hari kat bebebeberapa tempat kat Britain... England, Wales, Scotland..

SO memang aku ronda la sorang2 lorong2 ke hapa ke, semua aku rembat je, insyallah takde apa2 la. haha. Macam aku cakap, pakai tshirt Iron Maiden adalah paspot kebaikan di negara2 barat.

Kalau kat sini, kau pakai tshirt Iron Maiden, memang kena chop kat dahi, macam kau dah fit a certain character profiling, macam mereka-mereka tahu je la kan sapa dia nak tahan mintak tengok IC.

So,
Masa Jumaat aku dah sampai Liverpool dari Aberdeen, aku masih ingat aku naik keretapi Tujuh jam tukar keretapi 3 kali kot, tapi ok la, sana sistem semua tersusun, tak yah bimbang, ikut jadual je, turun kat bandar mana pekan mana, gi platform berapa tunggu je ikut waktu nanti konfem keretapi kau nak akan sampai....
Permandangan pun cantik..

OK post ni aku tunjuk, aku nak gi semayang jemaat, solat jumaat kat Liverpool.

(OK, ni bukan nak menunjuk ok?? Atau nak bilang aku ni konon baik ke hapa k, aku bukan nye betul pun kan..), aku cuma nak kongsi je la informasi untuk sapa belum berpeluang lagi kan...

So aku jalan kaki, memang cantik pemandangan, bangunan2 klassik, memang best la kan... Liverpool memang terbaik dan special. Aku dapat rasa berapa tempat la kan..
Aku ada jugak la merasa berlainan tempat di UK sikit2 tu ada la, dan aku dah sampai dari atas tu Aberdeen tu dan paling bawah Portsmouth dan Isle Of Wight. 
Dan memang Liverpool sangat unik, 
tempat nya, dan orang nya... budak2 sekolah pakai dressing dan rambut macam James Dean.



OK so aku jalan jalan jalan tu gi masjid, aku hirup pemandangan dan udara, so aku pun sampai kawasan Masjid.
Nama Masjid ni Al-Rahma. Macam aku cakap kat atas aku hegeh hegeh ada la 30 minit, jalan stop jalan stop kan tengok tu ni.
So kat masjid ni, masuk je aku dah nampak orang orang Melayu.

Memang kelakar pun ada..

Kat Singapore, kat Malaysia tak sapa orang Melayu la kan, buat apa nak sapa Melayu, merata ye tak?

Tapi kat sana, nampak je Melayu pakai kain pelikat, nampak je muka Melayu hidung penyek.. Ye la Melayu hidung penyek apa...

Aku siap tegur " MELAYU EH?? " haha.. Serious, ada satu orang tua ni, aku tak tahu apa nak panggil dia, datok? Pakcik? Tuan? Encik? So aku pilih panggil Abang, kasi angkat sikit la kan hahaha...

Dahsyat dia dah duduk Liverpool dari tahun 1960 or 61. Siak ah dia kat sana masa zaman Beatles.
Terharu dia peluk aku dia tanya aku " MELAYU???"

Gitulah... Takkan Melayu Hilang Di Dunia, Sama Macam dengan ROCK NEVER DIE!!!

So dia cerita asal usul dia kat aku, Penang, KL, apa je la dia lahir kat mana semua,  dan pasal bang azan lambat lagi so ada la dia share story dia,, 
so then aku jumpa Melayu la... Dari Malaysia dari Singapore.. haha...
Biasalah semua dulu orang Navy kan, lepas tu merantau.. semua landing Liverpool tak balik la.
Balik Singapore, balik Malaysia pun jumpa sedara mara keluarga je.
Tapi kan... dorang tanya aku kat Liverpool buat apa?
takkan aku cakap aku backpack tengok Iron Maiden main kan?
so...

Aku cakap aku tengok persembahan budaya.. .. aku memang pakai tshirt Iron Maiden, tapi pasal masuk masjid aku zip up tutup dengan jaket aku. 

So seronok seronok sangat dan aku tahu dorang seronok berbual melayu dengan aku

Aku seperti biasa seorang bastard.. aku suka tanya " INGAT DAN TAHU CAKAP MELAYU LAGI KE?? " haha.

So ni la kat atas ni beberapa foto suasana solat Jumaat dan selepas solat. Ye la ramai orang takkan aku nak snap foto. tapi ada foto foto tempat ambil wuduk istinjak , sama jugak England ke, UK ke, apa ke sama jugak ngan konsep kita.. takde beza la...
Satu dunia orang Islam sama je, tak kira kulit dan bahasa.. kita semua sama... Itulah kekuatan Orang Islam, pasal kita semua sama je dari corok mana pun kau kat mana2..

Aku tak pernah percaya apa mass media cakap, bila aku tengok Rainbow main kat Jerman kat Loreley masa Ramadhan 2016 dan ada orang Jerman tu cakap cerita kat aku masa borak2 dia makan dinner lambat pasal kawan dia berpuasa dan nak tunggu 9.30 malam buka, 
bila dalam keadaan huru hara banjir lumpur hujan turun, 80,000 peminat tengok Iron Maiden main kat Donington 2016 , orang sebelah aku peluk2 aku cakap "Then I love you twice as much because Islam means Peace" masa Iron Maiden tengah main bila aku provoke dia masa kita pekik2 kat telinga satu sama lain pasal tengah gamat kecoh suasana Maiden tengah main, dalam keadaan tonggang terbalik dia tanya aku dari mana dan aku nasik tambah info yang aku orang Islam.. saja nak test market..  (NI SEMUA AKU PERNAH CERITA DONINGTON FESTIVAL 2016 NYE POSTINGS)

aku tak pedulik apa mass media cakap, siapa yang racun kan hubungan orang Islam dan bukan Islam, dan memang ramai dua dua pihak suka racun meracun masyarakat untuk benci membenci , tapi.. pasal untuk aku yang penting peminat2 heavy metal dan heavy rock dan band2 rock dan heavy metal semua takde  masalah dan takde tanggapan negatif kat agama Islam aku alright je pasal this is my kind of crowd la kan. Lain2 tu gi relak one corner sua.

Dan memang people on the street Insyallah tahu apa terjadi.. dorang pun macam kita jugak, tahu mass media dan hasutan internet sebar kebencian ni semua putar belit je.

Tu jam nak masuk Ramadhan kan Iron Maiden nye UK Tour, so khatib ni sound la pasal Ramadhan, kalau sakit ke, travel ke, apa ke.. ada keistimewaan Allah dah beri...
macam2 la dia cakap..
Heran nya aku boleh paham... pasal dia gunakan bahasa mudah dan cara penyampain yang sangat mudah dihadam dan macam Will Smith siak dia nye bahasa haha.

Dia cakap pasal solat jamak la apa la, .. anugerah Allah kenapa kita manusia elak padahal tu anugerah untuk sekian sekian peristiwa kita sedang lakukan.
semua nye sama, standard operating procedure SOP la kan umat Islam satu dunia.

So tu la... ni semua pengalaman dan pengajaran ye tak.... terutama untuk orang cam aku. (MUAHAAHAHA!!! - KETAWA JIN)

Over 20 days has passed in Ramadan. How time flies quickly.

First in English then in Bahasa Melayu. .

For my backpacking travels alone to watch Iron Maiden plays their very successful UK Tour and amazing performance in both their live shows and the fans attendance at every show, in 5 places/cities in Scotland, England and Wales, I try to explore as much as I can the cities and places during the daytime especially I went to NOT where the outsiders visit but I go to where the locals go.
So means I explore the lonely backlanes, the markets, and see how the locals buy and sell vegetables, meat, even secondhand goods.
So this time I want to blog about the Birmingham City Centre Flea/Secondhand/car boot/market /sale or whatever you want to call it. Its across the road from Bullring shopping area and St Martin Church(above are both of them the Church and Bullring Mall, I guess thats the name).
Its near the vicinity of the Islamic Relief Building.
So enjoy the photos of this huge flea/car boot/secondhand dealer market of Birmingham City and the area of the Islamic Relief Building near Birmingham City area.

Iron Maiden plays Birmingham Barclaycard Arena on Sunday 21st May so I arrived there at Sunday Noon by bus travelling from LIVERPOOL where Maiden plays the night before.

And this is how the Birmingham Barclaycard Arena looks like, way before Maiden starts their show. And I was not even near the front. Such a vast huge place and the standing section Floor level was like a football field size. LOL!!

Atas tu dua foto tu ialah apa korang nampak kalau korang sampai Birmingham naik bas ekpress dari mana2.
So keluar dari bas terminal nampak ni dua, satu gereja satu shopping mall.
atas foto ketiga tu tujuan aku gi Birmingham dan tempat lain bulan lepas, backpacking sorang sorang tengok Iron Maiden untuk Book Of Soul Tour 2017 yang akan jadi penutup.
Lepas dorang pusing Amerika lagi satu round. Bulan 7 ni pentas Iron Maiden guna akan dibubarkan. Aku rasa konfem gossip peminat tahun depan ada tour berlandaskan History Tour part 4 atau mungkin berlandaskan greatest hits dengan pentas baru dan semua baru untuk masa depan nya usage.

Aku ingat nak carik tapi sebenarnya senang nak jumpa kalau korang jalan kaki kat kawasan tu tapi aku tak gi la bangunan tu. Beg dah berat giler, aku gi pasar karat dia kat kasawan situ.

Dan Royalty paling aku hormat dan suka dalam dunia ialah keluarga Queen Elizabeth.
Bila aku dengar cerita dari orang Melayu kita yang pernah kerja sama Islamic Relief di Birmingham pasal Queen Elizabeth. Aku sangat terkejut.
Jadi bila aku baca reaksi orang terkejut gembira pasal Prince Harry berbuka puasa bulan Ramadhan dengan orang2 Islam di Singapore, dan act macam orang biasa je kat Singapore, lagipun memang pun, lantak la kau diraja tempat lain , ada tempat kau tetap dilayan sama rata dengan semua orang.

(mulut manusia tak boleh ditutup, ada "keturunan" bila kat Singapore cam cam perangai.)

aku tak heran sangat, sudah tentu Queen Elizabeth dah ajar cucu2 dia tentang agama kita dan semoga sokongan Permaisuri menguatkan ummah kita di UK.
(dan serious berbual ramai giler orang melayu kat UK ok,- aku pernah cerita kan, first aku sampai stesen keretapi kat Piccadilys, aku backpack nak tengok Iron Maiden main kat Donington 2013 dulu, aku dah tak boleh jumpa train aku nak naik dah aku sorang2 dah lambat pasal aku nak rush gi Birmingham nak tengok Bon Jovi main kat stadium Aston Villa, so kelakarnya, kat tempat sendiri kena speaking omputeh tanya arah, tapi kat England berbual melayu pasal aku nampak muka melayu so aku gi la kat dorang..., aku first cakap eh dah sampai England, aku cakap Melayu pasal ada budak Melayu lelaki pompuan so aku berbual melayu langsung tak yah nak belit lidah speaking omputeh - 
terus terang aku cakap ramai giler dalam context "ramai giler" melayu di Eropah la, dari Portsmouth - ni tempat memang budak Melayu ramai tak yah khuatir.. - paling bawah UK tu, sampai naik atas UTARA ke Glasgow..(cuma kat Aberdeen aku tak nampak Melayu atau dengar orang cakap Melayu haha)..  aku tahu pasal aku dah sampai Glasgow pun dan aku jalan kat kawasan ada U ke kolej sekolah tinggi la gitu,.. orang2 Melayu ok ngan pompuan baju kurung., nanti aku cerita pasal aku semayang jemaat kat masjid Liverpool... Kecohhh berbual melayu.. aku siap tanya "ingat lagi cakap melayu tak? haha, ada dah duk sana orang melayu kita, dari tahun 1960an, zaman beatles ok, sila jangan berbual pasal Iron Maiden la kan aku... diam dah.. ni semua old timers legend.. zaman Beatles dorang dah kat Liverpool.. takde fight la kan....).
Serious berbual la, Melayu ni kan.... jangan cakap dari negeri mana , negara mana la kan..
Melayu ni kan...boleh cam la pattern melayu kalau gi mana2... hahaha....
lagi Melayu tu nak berlagak mat salleh, lagi terserlah kekampongan nya.

ok sambung balik pasal Birmingham... Lagipun pada aku, Birmingham ni ialah bukan sahaja jantung Heavy Rock dan Heavy Metal dari segi sejarah dan hingga hari ini, 
tapi jantung umat Islam seluruh Eropah pada aku kerana jumlah umat Islam di Birmingham sangat ramai.

Ok Lepas Islamic Relief tu, ialah pasar karat, pasar jual beli barang yang dah digunakan, . Kira macam Sungei Road skala besar giler.
Macam2 ada... sila tengok sendiri... kasut boots caterpillar, doc mart, barang mainan, rekod piring hitam dan cd, barang2 ayat suci untuk hiasan rumah, pakaian memang banyak dan macam2 dari untuk musim sejuk ke biasa, peti sejuk dan mesin basuh juga dijual di pasar ni, nampak ada baru ada dah 2ndhand, alat pembinaan, bantal, tilam, perkakas barang dapur dan sebagainya.
Ramai dari penjual dan pembeli ialah umat Islam kita.
Langsung tak nampak dari foto foto ni aku ada kat Birmingham UK.

OK la aku sumbat semua cakap Melayu kat sini, jadi bawah tu lagi, sebahagian bangunan2 lama yang sangat cantik di bandar Birmingham ni, dan sikit2 foto tempat ada bahagian beli belah dan shopping di Birmingham..

Dan bawah lagi tu jalan menuju ke Barclaycard Arena Birmingham..
aku ikut je laluan air tu (water canal) terus sampai...
jalan ikut laluan tu aman, terus sampai kecoh giler...

dan ada satu bahagian mall tu kat Bullring, bercahaya giler siot...

dan bawah lepas tu foto foto aku snap sikit2 masa tengok Iron Maiden merata tempat untuk 2017 UK Tour ni...
tu je kot.... nanti lain aku cerita2 la, tempat2 lain dan macam2 je la...makan2 tu semua...

OK tu je kot. Selamat terus berpuasa dan apa2 je la korang buat di bulan Ramadhan yang mulia ini.

Also some photos of their shopping districts and pink colour trams...
also,
I was looking for the Barclaycard Arena, so the locals just tell me to follow a Water Canal.

Amazing, its peaceful, tranquil, you even have ducks on the canal.
And once you reach the arena you got the 16,000 fans? or less? Maiden hardcores of Birmingham.
Amazing show as usual, amazing audience too.

this is Aberdeen.. a great city, very cold, and Iron Maiden again played another blinder in this city. a very intimate place for an Iron Maiden show as it fits about 7000 people only in the indoor hall.

I took this photo, I think this is the first photo of an Aberdeen street I took once I arrive by bus in Aberdeen from Glasgow.

About a 4 hour ride of full of the ocean on one side, and lots of beautiful nature of cows and fields, and flowers and sheeps and beautiful old homes.

Hi all. Scattered post in both English and Bahasa Melayu.

I know its Ramadhan for the Muslims,

but some food photos.

This is a Muslim food place selling halal food in CARDIFF, WALES. As you all know I was backpacking alone for the Iron Maiden UK Tour , not the full whole tour, about half. LOL!!

I will tell more next time...

Nanti aku tunjuk jugak kedai2 aku gi makan...

For those in Singapore and Malaysia, thousands of miles away, but the menu is so familiar.

Kan, korang tengok siap ada teh tarik tu...

nak gelak aku.. brader ni pernah duduk Singapore pun.

Padahal jauh siak kat Wales sana... lain kali aku cerita.

One more, I was starving and I only want rice. I just arrived at Birmingham Bus Station after taking bus from Liverpool. ( I went for both Iron Maiden shows at both cities).

Below is photo of a halal rice dish, Briyani or Beryani, UK Halal Style. in Birmingham, England.

My God, its so dry, there is no gravy like what i am used too.

But I was going crazy, I need rice. Rice is my staple food all my life. Without it I DIE.

LAPAR NASI , nasib baik di Birmingham dan aku makan nasik kedai sama masa aku backpack gi Birmingham 2013 dulu tengok Bon Jovi main kat stadium Villa Park.

Sapa jenis Lapar Nasik paham la apa aku cakap... boleh jadi giler....

betapa jumpa banyak kedai pun tengok makanan semua tak kena...

desperate sampai nampak kedai halal, kedai india soalan ialah "Bro, you got rice? anything as long as rice , I dont care what colour!"haha.

Other times I will tell about places I stopped by while taking long express buses and trains.

This is BRISTOL below, lovely picture that I got lucky in taking it. Well, at least for me this photo is very pretty.

Amazing city amazing place. It was between the Birmingham Maiden show, and Cardiff Maiden show...

Supposed to catch Cranberries in Colston Hall Bristol, but Delores fall sick so its cancelled. But Bristol was amazing...  OOO Lots of amazing and historical photos next time (especially if you are a history buff in regards, Iron Maiden and other UK music legends like the Beatles and such, because Beatles play at Colston Hall too in the 60s)

Next, I want to share some merchandise that I got for the Iron Maiden 2017 UK Tour to support the Book Of Soul World Tour.

1) Maiden 17 - is a very pretty and sweet bootleg tshirt that I saw was on sale at the road side outside of the Liverpool Echo Arena and Birmingham Barclaycard Arena.

I finally decide to buy it for 10 Pounds.

One of the most simple and very pretty design I see of Iron Maiden for a long time. Yes, a bootleg, a fantastic fan design this one.

The rest are tour tshirts for 2017, 

2)with second from left is the UK/IRISH TOUR TSHIRT for the whole UK Tour. 

3) 3rd from left - Thats a new design EDDIE for 2017 with the Mayan Eddie Theme.

4) THAT KILLERS TSHIRT, its always the same problem with Iron Fucking Maiden.

They tease, people got excited thinking Killers was going to be on the setlist once this design was made into a 2017 Tour tshirt.

ALL ARE PRICED AT 25 POUNDS. And, the designs even if you buy it at the Maiden Official Shop will have different tags on the collar, and no dates and places. 

Take note the dates are only sold at the venues of the show, although those who follow the news will realise that earlier on before the tour start, Iron Maiden sold the event tshirts with dates IN ADVANCE about one month before the shows reach UK. But I dont buy it then, I only buy physically at the stands when I am at the venues.

The ones at Maiden Official Shop will be priced at about 22 POUNDS with different collar tags, and no dates and locations. And I dont think that other two tshirts will be sold too. 

(it carries the black label of Iron Maiden Merchandise or something if you buy the ones without dates

and its has a very very cute Cow.

SO the story is Eddie on the bike travelling all over UK and Ireland, as the front design goes, being a nuisance with a vehicle who got into an accident, the front design has all the directions and places Maiden is going to play with some flags on the flyover.

Eddie got into trouble on the road and hit the poster wall advertising all UK dates, makes a hole and off he goes again.

And as those travelling in UK will know the roads sides are all fields with lots of cute cows so there is one right there being a busybody.

- The rear of the 3rd jersey is also a new design. There are a few other tshirts with this design, but I dont buy all. I rather buy a few more UK tour shirts for my love ones.

- the one most on the right is the Wasted Years design. A song they played on both the 2016 and 2017 section of the book of soul world tour.

This is the tagging... of the official merchandise tshirt sold for the british part of the world tour 2017, and as can be seen for the bootleg, the label (I think its fruit of loom), is snipped off.

I think its a practise of British bootleggers? I am not sure.

I am not cordoning bootlegging for monetary profit. But I think everyone have to admit this is a very pretty tshirt.

OK one more shoot of the cute cow... and the dates..

Allow me to tell you, not only the above pretty thshirts only available at the shows.

but there are others pretty tshirts too, there is one THE RED AND THE BLACK, looks like an American Baseball Tshirt. 

Allow me to say, I have done quite a few backpacking travels for different tours, not only on this tour is Maiden playing beyond beyond expectation and really unbelievable they can top up their usual 666% performances of the past to a new 667% performances for this tour (2016 was amazing but the 2017 was another planet completely)

and the merch is simply amazing this year. Its like so many bands merchandise but actually its all Iron Maiden.
(aku ringkaskan, design2 atas tu Maiden 17 tu tipu nye, orang jual tepi jalan tapi cantik giler, so aku beli satu, Sweet 17 sangat tshirt tu.
Yang lain semua hanya jual kat tempat show je.
Yang British Tour Eddie naik motor tu, ada jual kat Maiden nye website tapi takde dates dan lokasi, dan bukan je takde tarikh dan lokasi tapi tag pun tak serupa, kalau beli kat official maiden website dia pakai tag Iron Maiden warna hitam tu. Yang lagi aku rasa memang tak jual.

Yang akhir tu design lama lawak nye korang tahu la tshirt ni ada, orang ingat Killers dalam setlist. Puaka besar ni Iron Maiden ni.

Also tshirt tour British/Irish tu ada cerita , design depan Eddie naik motor, dalam design depan korang tengok ada papan tanda tunjuk tempat2 bandar2 Maiden akan pergi, dan Eddie cam pelesit sampai ada kenderaan eksiden tu korang tengok betul2, ada orang kibar bendera England, Scotland contoh nya.
Kat belakang dia, Eddie tersasar, tersondol banner poster Iron Maiden untuk UK tour ada dates tu semua.. lokasi semua.. lepas tu ok, masuk jalanraya balik.
tapi sapa travel kat UK, naik bas, naik keretapi, tentu tahu kiri kanan semua ladang2 ternakan lembu kebanyakkan jadi ada seekor lembu jadi mak kepo la gi tengok lobang tu ).

MARI KITA CUCI MATA

some shoots of Maiden live on stage I took... on different shows, I stand at different places, and managed to move around a bit and there.

I manage to get some pretty photos of Maiden. Actually its more like I got lucky really...

Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers together in one photo. I always got difficulty getting them together in one photo shot. The magnificient Three Amigos. (I think this was in Aberdeen?? I forgot).

There is more of this scene I snapped. I will choose a prettier one next time.

This is just some photos.
I know its not nice, but its what I like, and for me they are all beautiful photos.
