Triple cd Bag of Trix release from a few months back. 47 Songs from the Vault. What can I say but another Roxsome, Roxking, Roxgeous, Roxderful, Roxmantic, and what else.
A nice problem to have for Roxette is that every song is nice. Even the Bsides, even the unused tracks and their Demos (usually sung by Per is better than the finished products of other acts).
So if you have not get this latest release, it makes an awesome purchase as the continuation of your Roxette collection.

Salah satu band yang boleh menyaingi konsistensi Iron Maiden dalam buat muzik dan lagu2 hebat dan main live hebat dalam jangka masa berkarya yang panjang berpuluh tahun ialah Roxette. Kalau Bruce Dickinson dengan barah lidah dan anak tekaknye, yang barah tu sebesar bola golf, Roxette pula dengan Marie Fredriksson yang pernah menghadapi tumbuhan tumour di otak, sehingga dia buta sebelah mata. Tapi menengok Roxette main live selepas penyakit Marie dikesan dan dia gi berubat,tak nampak langsung Marie mata dah buta sebelah, dah ada tumour dalam otak dia, dan segala masalah kesihatan, cuma dia tak selincah dulu dan ada perlahan sikit gerak dia. Cuma Per Gessle pimpin dia gi backstage masa lepas last song. (ok, observation ok aku.. haha..).. Tapi nampaknye, Marie dah tewas dan tak boleh tour main live lagi, tapi tak tahu la dia masih boleh beraksi live. Rasanya boleh, cuma mungkin Roxette dah tak boleh tour lagik. Aku sedih. Aku dah tunggu dorang akan datang main lagi di Singapore (dan Malaysia) untuk tour album terbaru. Ni mesej dari Marie kat website Roxette. A Message from Marie
I am so touched by your thoughts, your words and your endless love that you have shared since the cancelling of Roxette’s summer tour was announced. Eventually all good things must come to an end, and though I love being on stage, meeting our fans, I don't have the strength for the touring life any more. It’s as simple as that.
Per and I now look forward to the release of our new album "Good Karma”. We really love it – hope you will too!

Aku harap dorang datang sini main lagi sekali. Main la kat KL jugak so boleh tengok dua kali next tour ye tak?..

Per Gessle sebenarnye ada keluar satu boxset banyak giler cd kat dalam boxset tu, siap banyak Demo Roxette tak silap aku. MAHAL giler boxset ni, untuk pasaran Sweden ke hapa ntah. Aku tengok je kat tenet boxset ni haha.
Jadi waktu Per Gessle jadi artis solo, dia kalau main live, selain bawak lagu2 solo albums dia, dia jugak bawak lagu Roxette, terutama lagu2 Roxette yang Marie nyanyi, dinyanyikan oleh Per jadi memang seronok la kan. Dan Per pun memang songwriter dan lyrics kebanyakkan semua Per jugak, dan suara dia pun sedap... Actually kan, kadang2 lagu2 Marie ni kan, sebenarnye lagi sesuai untuk Per nyanyi.....

(Aku nak tanya kejap... sapa antara korang ada rasa sedikit terkedu bila tengok trailer #2 episode 7, yang dorang premiere masa ada stage event kat Amerika tu hari?", yang last part "CHEWIE! We're home. Cepat sapa rasa terkedu? SAPA NANGIS????", sapa tetiba kejap berapa saat gitu, jadi budak kecik balik? berangan jadi Vic Morrow main combat2 meniarap dalam longkang?.. HAHAHA. Zaman dulu kan, dengar radio, siap kaset kosong... lagu best je kan, ke program permintaan tujukan lagu je kan, standby nak tekan rekod.
Nanti wahhh dapat tekan rekod sebelum lagu start, tapi nanti lagu dah start DJ sambung berbual.
KONGAJAR!!! dah lain kali pasang balik kaset tu dengar lagu2 pujaan, ada suara DJ menyibuk!!
So what can I say about this album? BUY IT. Seriously great stuff this album. 21 songs for the CD version and of course on DVD you got a full show of 24 songs, and plus extra videos and others. Just slightly more than half are Roxette songs, and with an opportunity to enjoy Per singing Marie songs... The rest are his solo works, and his singing partner Helena is amazing on this release. THE BEST THING IS - The CD versions are from different countries and cities in Europe and the DVD version is from a single show in Sweden. So basically you have different versions for each song for both the disc. Its really nice...
Per and Marie are over 52 years of age but maybe they are now better than ever,
and Marie is an inspiration really. She is still working hard for her living, and performing as usual even though she is now blind on her right eye due to her illness.
I still remember in the mid-2000s, its like Roxette is dead forever. Marie was going thru and recovering from some serious medical conditions and Per is doing solo albums.
Then a few years back they reunited for a European tour and I hunt all the Roxette fan websites to get news, downloading whatever fans-recording bootlegs I can get my hands on, as usual fan-recording bootlegs varies in quality but I still love them all.
Then, a new album, world tour and I FINALLY SAW THEM PLAY LIVE. Per and Marie is awesome live with a great band playing along with them. The electric guitar player is rockin on stage. Every song is great and even though a number of my favourite songs was not played, I have no complains as no matter what setlist they play, it will be an entertaining one what with the humongous selections of great songs they have.

Released sometime after the 6th March, Singapore Indoor Stadium show. But I only got it now.
Fabulous, catchy, fast, slow, melodic, cheerful, gloomy, entertaining , haunting, happy, sad, hook laden aplenty, nice instrumental sections, time changes, happening, beautiful lyrics of new songs and reworked obscure old songs and a Per Gessle solo song now sung by Marie.
- Me & You & Terry & Julie, Lover Lover Lover, Touched By The Hand Of God, Easy Way Out, Its Possible (two versions), Excuse Me Sir Do You Want To Check On Your Wife? are the uptempo ones..
- Turn Of The Tide, Perfect Excuse, Angel Passing, The Weight Of The World , See Me are the slow ones...
- Pers singing lead vocals on Angel Passing especially is so nice... He has such songwriting and lyrical ability.
- Another one is their duet on the sad Weight Of The World.
- Perfect Excuse is a Per solo song, now sung by Marie. Very nice song.
- Lyrics of Touched By The Hands Of God includes the words Charm School. Touched By Hand of God is supposed to be the title song of Charm School album but it was completely removed.
This is such a catchy song with a blockbuster chorus and (a reference to Art Garfunkel) and maybe it shows the strength of Roxette songs that they can use it as they wish for later. And this is from a band who dont even include the song Harley And Indians on their 4cd boxset, maybe too much great songs to choose.
- Its Possible, the first version is so reminding me of Pet Shop Boys.
- Another song that has a nice build up is Excuse Me Sir Do You Want Me To Check On Your Wife?
- Three big songs that we know so well is also included here. Stars ( soundcheck at Dubai ), love the add-on guitar intro now on the song, Live, Stars is transformed.
She's Got Nothing On But The Radio ( live at Rio ), and It Must Have Been Love with some kind of orchestra live from 2009, a not rocking version for me.
So this is it, Roxette March 6 , 2012 Live In Singapore full audio and I had winrar it for convenience of everyone. I tend to unwinrar often but I dont do the winrar much so hope it works haha. I hope the sound is not that bad for those Roxette fans interested. But trust me its a great show. The Look with a bit of Hey Jude and did I hear a Layla in Listen To Your Heart.
For those who dont know what is winrar, its very easy, its just like the old ZIP. The program is free for live. If I say its easy, then its easy, because if I can use it so can you.
Plus There's a request from a Judas Priest collector for the full Singapore show so I did it for him/her so if anyone else is interested here it is..

- Surely this is my favourite show of the year. Roxette and with a setlist like above its just splendid. Though no Harley and Indians, no Paint, no Silver Blue, no June Afternoon, no lots of other personal favourites.
- They move the stage further up so the whole Indoor Stadium is not fully utilised like Iron Maiden for example. It do make the show seems like more than 90% full. 6500-7000? about that I think.
- The crowd seemingly majority in the ages of 30s, 40s and 50s. People who grow up with great and best music on the radio or cassette tapes irregardless of musical genre or taste.
- No Intro Music. Lights Out and straight to Dressed For Success. - Seven members. Per & Marie, a backup female singer, drummer who is with them from the 80s, on keyboards is their producer with a new hat, the bassist who spoke about Sweden and his Blue Swede Sex Machine and a rocking guitarist.
- The sound was good, but at the start I was wishing it to be so much louder, this is Roxette. Fortunately for me the sounds gets a bit louder by second song, the all time favourite Sleeping In My Car. - I guess my positioning plays a part, I bought the ticket late, a peasant ticket on top of that. So I was like kind of far. I should have find a way to get those floor front seats very early on. Maybe next time.
- The audience was LOUD. Fantastic especially with the great noise made while waiting for the band to reappear for the encores.
- Great songs one after another from the start although the slow numbers in the first part of the show Wish I Could Fly and Perfect Day dampens my mood a bit because I was eager for Roxette's faster songs. Great songs but it disturb my own momentum as a live music fan. But I really like Marie and Per singing duet for Things Will Never Be The Same and after that I can accomodate the rest of the slower songs till the end. - The new song She Got Nothing On is very rocking live.
- Crowd participation is at maximum, without much prompting needed, lots of chances for the audience to sing on behalf of the band, from the slow It Must Have Been Love to Joyride to How Do You Do and most of the others..
- 7twenty7 ending reminds me of the Deep Purple / Rainbow keyboards and guitars alternate solos. The Roxette guitarist is all over the stage. Great rocking showmanship. His guitar solo of " Singapura, Singapura, Sunny Island " is enjoyable.
- Band introduction and this is a bit of what the bassist have to say - "So let me tell you about Sweden, Its Small, Its Cold, Its Dark, But It Got Love..." and he plays some effects and sounds from his Blue Swede Sex Machine.
- Per said something like " very basic in life, just one chord, C Major " and Per starts How Do You Do. - Basically most songs are very happening as the crowd makes the difference. I was afraid the crowd would be dead, especially on a weekday, but I was very very wrong. I guess most in the crowd are huge Roxette fans.
- During The Look, I was like reminded of Def Leppard. Its that the inspiration for this song.
- Last song Church Of Your Heart, the band performed in a row, the keyboardist played an acoustic guitar and the drummer was together upfront with a tambourine. - I did an audio bootleg of the show for my own memory. Seems ok quality from my own point of view, I'll see how it goes and will upload maybe next week latest.
- Like I say, I think this is my show of the year. Its Roxette.
