Selamat Berpuasa semua, 
aku sambung lagi la apa aku mulakan dalam post sebelum ini. 
OK anyway post lepas, kadang2 ni dah buat blog dah type dah post, Rasa Malu Sendiri. Paiseh gitu. abis tu rasa macam "patut ke aku luahkan tu semua?". So harap korang kalau baca ke hapa ke kat blog ni, jangan ambik hati.. Mulut aku memang PUAKA & bastard, terutama kat sesuatu yang aku rasa aku ada pendirian tegas dan prinsip aku sendiri.

OK, kita sambung pasal kumpulan rock dari Amerika ni, Ni kali aku tunjuk foto2 packaging bagi album Hall Of The Mountain King (tahun 1987) dan Gutter Ballet (1989). Gutter Ballet ni ialah kaset pertama aku dengar Savatage. Aku masih ingat bila aku dengar kaset ni aku bandingkan ngan lagi satu band rock dari Amerika iaitu Manowar. Pasal tu jam lagi satu kaset aku saing dengar Gutter Ballet ialah Kings Of Metal. (serious ok, benda2 aku minat, walau dah lama, aku masih boleh recalled banyak). Pasal tu la, dah M..I..N..A..T.

Sekarang... Manowar zaman ni dah kelaut, kalau rindu nak apa2 BAU-BAU BACANG Manowar baru, sila carik berita pasal aktiviti2 Ross The Boss dan suka nye aku, DEATH DEALER (dimana Ross The Boss ada pasangan gitaris bukan one-man-show) NAK KELUAR ALBUM KEDUA SOON!!! WOO HOOO!!!!!! 
Tapi Savatage, dah tahap LEGEND. Aku rasa takkan tercemar la legenda Savatage sampai bila2... 
Joey De Maio entah hapa dia dah buat kat Manowar aku pun tak tahu.

OK sedikit pasal Gutter Ballet (terbit 1989) dulu,  - Terbaik la segalanye pada halwa telinga dan minda aku.. 
paling penting semua Lagu2 dan instrumental2 pendek yang terbaik, 
Criss Oliva punye guitar dalam setiap lagu yang mengkagumkan, suara Jon Oliva yang dramatik dalam setiap lagu, dari lagu2 heavy metal, rancak, lagu perlahan, lagu2 yang ada bahagian gunakan Piano, album ni yang mungkin permulaan Savatage tukar haluan pelan2 main Progressive yang makin ketara lain kali, John O'neill ke sapa cakap? "Savatage is first progressive metal band" . ke hapa ntah dorang punye matlamat gitu..dengan lirik2 yang indah la untuk aku sebagai seorang pelajar yang sangat curious nak tahu pasal tulisan bahasa English dan belajar gunakan bahasa English - seperti "kill the unicorn, just to have its horn, soon its just a fantasy", dari lirik pasal kehidupan, kesunyian, ke kemasyarakatan (Libya masih musuh ketat Amerika waktu tu...), jugak instrumental2 pendek yang bagi ruang untuk Criss Oliva nye gitars, melodi2 lagu yang terbaik, kat album ni jugak aku belajar apa tu Thorazine dan impak dia..

Dari start sampai abis...semua lagu hebat..kalau zaman kaset dulu side A dengar dah dahsyat, side B ialah lagi terperanjat beruk... She's In Love, Hounds, Unholy, Mentally Yours, Thorazine Shuffle dan lagu slow rock yang memang betul2 punya rock abis la, Summers Rain terselit antara lagu2 tadi... dan jugak ni edisi packaging digipak untuk boxset ni pun siap ada bonus tracks la apa la.

Terus terang cakap la...  Dalam hidup aku, ada berapa album yang aku kagumi SANGAT...
Satu tentu la Loudness Disillusion (English Version), Queensryche Operation Mindcrime, Judas Priest Defenders of the Faith...dan jugak Gutter Ballet ni.

Kalau Melayu punya, semestinya cd pertama kumpulan nasyid SAUJANA. Terbakar ok! Panassss!! Rasa kulit macam terkoyak2!! Tapi sangat best seluruh album Saujana pertama.. yang setiap lagu gerek dan diakhiri ngan lagu "Sepohon kayu daun nye rimbun...lebat bunganya serta buahnya..walaupun hidup seribu tahun.....", Giler lagu ni kedahsyattannye....memang...panas giler lagu dan album ni.., aku tak bedek!!, .tapi aku serious cakap Saujana nye album pertama antara album melayu pada aku antara paling Terbaik dalam sejarah aku mengikuti perkembangan muzik melayu. 
Bukan sahaja kategori berunsur dakwah tapi overall. Ada segmen ada zikir yang betul sampai ke lubuk hati ku.... dan semoga tak dilupakan... HAHA. Siot korang jangan gelak kan aku ok. 
Pergi carik cd Saujana yang pertama. Carik first pressing. Cehhhhh...
Tapi warning... korang mungkin ada yang tak boleh duduk diam nanti.... dah macam cacing kena panggang pelan2 atas api. OK enough Saujana. Ni posting Savatage.

Dari pertengahan lagu When The Crowds Are Gone, bila Criss Oliva start solo sampai abis, bila suara Jon Oliva mendayu2 merintih hiba tu...
Aku rasa adalah babak2 lagu paling hebat la dalam aku dengar lagu rock.
Lagu When The Crowds Are Gone, kadang2 kalau dengar bila semua dah senyap, tengah moody, dalam gelap gelita... memang semacam. Ngan lirik dia pun semacam...
Sangat sayu lagu When The Crowds Are Gone ini.. ., ending dia nye lyrics tu akan direpeated kan kat lagu Believe album selepas ni.

Savatage ni lagi tangkap kalau baca dan cuba pahami liriks2 mereka...

Memang betul dikatakan Paul O'Neill kerjasama ngan Savatage sebagai Producer terus ubah kerjaya dan hasil produk Savatage ke suatu tahap yang sangat gemilang.

Serious berbual... Sila dengar Gutter Ballet. Tengok cover album je dah tahu, ni adalah antara album rock yang dimana " semua planets align together " gitu untuk hasilkan sesuatu yang sangat istimewa pada pendapat aku la. TAK LAPOK DEK HUJAN ALBUM NI WALAUPUN tahun 1989 nye album. SERIOUS BERBUAL, sila dengar album2 Savatage kesemuanya... zaman Criss Oliva, zaman Criss Oliva dah mati, zaman Jon Oliva penyanyi utama lepas tu jadi keyboardist, zaman Zachary Stevens jadi penyanyi..  

OK OK, ni satu video yang aku amat suka..ni dari 1998 gitu. Criss Oliva dah lama takde dah, dah Savatage modern gitu.....ni tu jam Al Pitrelli (Megadeth pun dia la dekni lepas tu,), Chris Caffery dah rejoin balik Savatage (dan dia ada menyesal2 gitu kan, dia tak stay ngan Savatage lepas Gutter Ballet nye album pasal walau peminat tahu dia part of Savatage tapi dia sendiri miss zaman Criss Oliva mati masa dalam Savatage dan rindu kat Criss gitu la), vokalis Jon Oliva dan Zachary Stevens..., Jon Oliva dah start relak kat tepi main keyboards dan support2 vokal untuk Zachary aje.
Sebenarnye kalau korang minat Manowar, dan ada satu video live Manowar kat Brazil apa entah nama video tu, kat konsert ni jugak la, Savatage main awal la, Manowar waktu malam Headliners.


Zaman dulu, Youtube ni semua belum ada, kalau nak carik video tape rock, setakat Iron Maiden tu Holiday Plaza JB ada lah, tapi nak carik bootlegs dan nak carik bootlegs SAVATAGE??

Komputer semua pasang program Direct Connect DC++. Aku paksa diri belajar program ni supaya dan pasal nak SEDUT BOOTLEGS PEMINAT KUMPUL DARI SATU DUNIA.
Best zaman dulu.. zaman sekarang best pasal mudah. Semua youtube je.

Unholy. (bukan Kiss nye Unholy ok, wahhh satu hari nanti nak borak pasal Kiss Revenge la, tu album dorang main heavy nak mampos, Eric Carr pun baru mati tu jam kan.. Sakit Cancer. 
Pada aku dalam banyak2 anggota KISS - Eric Carr paling handsome dan paling aku suka...haha. Forever ok Forever!!!. sampai sekarang kadang2 aku masuk Youtube, tengok video clip Forever..Wahhh Eric Carr...Wahhhh haha)



Sebab tu sekarang, aku jadi habit, mesti aku nak bootleg apa2 band aku suka, pasal aku hargai dan tahu nilai betapa tingginye setiap band yang aku minat buat persembahan. Kecuali Iron Maiden, aku pergi konsert Iron Maiden aku takkan bootleg. Pasal aku akan basically having a sense of  high sangat.

Kalau baca majalah2 Rock, ada disebut tentang kebagusan album ni.
Ni album memang gerek..
Setiap lagu gerek... Terutama dah lagu dahsyat2 tiba2 masuk lagu Strange Ways. 

Apa pun, kat bonus tracks Savatage ni ada versi Castles Burning versi secara Acoustic.
Ni lagu Majistret Italy seorang tu kena bunuh ngan Mafia kan? ke aku dah keliru..
tapi gerek lagu ni..

Apa pun album Hall Of The Mountain King ni untuk peminat rock Amerika aku rasa ni album legend, pasal memang ni album naik dan dapat liputan MTV.

Rasanya zaman2 mid to late 80s, pasaran dan pendengar muzik Amerika hargai lagu2 rock gini.. 

Ni album pun klassik gitu kan.. 24hrs, Legion, title track.... ni yang popular2, tapi of course macam album2 Savatage lain, lagu2 yang album tracks lain tu la yang sedap2 belaka dan sangat menghiburkan, walaupun berbau tragis dan emotional.

Memang kesilapan berulang atau disengajakan pasal berulang dalam Ultimate Boxset ni....-  versi akaustik Somewhere In Time/Alone You Breath.

Ni versi Jon Oliva dengan piano dia aje. Takde Zachary Stevens takde sapa lain. Jon Oliva sorang apa aku tahu untuk rakaman ni.
Alone You Breath tu lagu Jon Oliva tulis untuk Criss Oliva punye kematian. Liriks dia sedih.

Touching ok lagu ni... Impak kehilangan Criss Oliva sangat besar, bukan sahaja kat isteri dia dan keluarga dia tapi rasanya kat semua peminat Savatage, walaupun kalau baru dengar dan minat Savatage hari ni pun.

Savatage dah jadi hantu gitu.

Aku rasa reunion dorang headline Wacken 2015 confirm keluar dvd pengsi punye.
Tapi Zachary Stevens pun takde kot.
Tapi Al Pitrelli dan lain2 semua ada la kan..

Selamat berpuasa semua,

dari rock Jerman ke rock Melayu ke Rock Omputeh ke Rock Jepun, dan kini...
ke Rock Amerika ngan kumpulan rock yang aku rasalah sapa yang dengar ni band, aku rasa cuma akan cakap yang baik2 je la..iaitu SAVATAGE. 
Aku tak pernah lagi jumpa sapa2 baik orang melayu atau baca kat tenet orang putih cakap - "Savatage Macam S^#*!!!" atau ayat seumpama begitu lagi. 

Aku tak rasa pasal kesian punye pasal ngan ni band yang buat aku tak pernah baca apa2 tak seronok pasal ni band tapi pasal dorang memang gerek walau Fight For The Rock nye album ada sikit "geng lipat kain" tapi lagu tetap gerek nak mampos , ngan Criss Oliva mati eksiden pasal orang lain mabuk, ngan bini dia bunuh diri pasal kesedihan Criss Oliva mati kan?? , ngan band ni buat album lagu semua gerek tapi takde sambutan dari peminat muzik rock secara meluas.

Apa pun mereka reunion ni untuk Wacken 2015. Sebagai Headliners ok. Wahh mesti dahsyat ye. Tentu seronok....

Mesti nyanyi2 macam konsert Bon Jovi la bila lagu Summers Rain. HAHAHAHA.

Korang tak gi ke konsert Bon Jovi? Gerek... Phil X gerek.. nak tengok Richie Sambora pergilah konsert solo dia, aku tak rasa dia main ngan Bon Jovi lagi.. Aku nak dia pun rejoin tapi sampai sekarang takde berita pun dorang nak reconcile.

ok ok aku mengaku la aku tengok Bon Jovi kat Villa Park, ada tiket Diamond yang tu memang Bon Jovi depan mata, tapi tu Birmingham England nye pasaran, ni South East Asia, nak tengok Bon Jovi main kena tunggu buah tak jatuh.
MACAM BABI KAN???  Metallica pun sama......tiket banyak sangat category, abis peminat2 semua jauh kat belakang, buat la standard semua orang diri ramai2 fair and square, tak pun buat cam style Singapore - konsert rock, taruk Pen A Pen B maximum...dah... 

Sorry...aku emo.. TAPI AKU GERENTI... masa James Hetlfied cakap kat Singapore - WE GOT A NEW WINNER HERE!! THE LOUDEST FANS!!!

Aku gerenti korang, kalau harga tiket Metallica kat Malaysia sama style macam harga tiket kat Singapore, dimana takde banyak category..aku confirm James Hetfield cakap sama untuk kat Malaysia...

Paling tak adil, pergi konsert rock, peminat2 yang buat show tu happening, kena paling belakang hanya kerana tak mampu nak beli tiket kat depan...

Kat Singapore, Bon Jovi harga fixed rate la, Semua orang diri sama rata...takde darjat ikut harga tiket, tapi masalahnya konsert masa F1.
Aku confirm dua2 show aku tak pergi.. tapi serious Bon Jovi ngan Phil X, gerek nak mampos. Untung korang tengok nasib la, kalau dorang tiba2 nak seret main 3 jam encore 6 - 7 lagu.

K.. K.. puasa tak boleh emo...balik ke Savatage.


Ni bukan nak cerita atau ulasan pasal Savatage dan album2 mereka sangat la, lain kali kot. Tapi lebih pada nak tunjuk packaging Ultimate Boxset Savatage untuk sapa nak tengok dan berminat.

Aku rasa aku nak tunjuk setiap muka surat dan apa kebenda je la, so sabar la, mungkin perlukan 4 postings untuk abiskan semua.. Yang ni pertama aku tunjuk kotak sikit dan 3 albums pertama dulu.

It was already more than a month ago that this SAVATAGE - THE ULTIMATE BOXSET was released.
It is very confusing about details for this special boxset, as if you follow Savatage, you will know that the same-looking boxset was already in the market since 2014.

I cannot get much details but I presume this is what actually happened.

In 2014, the Savatage Ultimate Boxset was first released as a limited to ONE THOUSAND (1000) copies. I understand the first pressings got problems from what I read on some reports in the internet.
It immediately become rare and on bloody EBAY, I saw there are being sold for ridiculous amount of money.

Then when its announced the same looking Ultimate Boxset will be released in May 2015 and its still a limited to 1000 limited edition set, I got confused but I really want it so I pre-oredered it.

When the boxset arrived, my number was 1412.
So I believed, the original boxset released was numbered 0001-1000 while this release is from 1001-2000.
So if I am wrong, I would like to apologize, but I think possibly this is what could happen.

I really dont know how to find details and infos of Savatage and their members on the internet.

But nevermind, I got this boxset and I think if you have the old pressings of Savatage CD, or the cassette tapes or just want to get into Savatage, or just want to start to collect Savatage albums, then this is definitely a good buy, futhermore because its all remastered, it has extra songs, bonus songs, and it has great recollections of events, stories and information written by Jon Oliva.

This posting and the next few postings about this Savatage The Ultimate Boxset is not exactly a review, maybe I will talk-cock about the albums some other times, but this is a photo-spread of how the packaging looks like.

The 3rd album is when all the band member names got familiar like Gutter Ballet. My favourite album and also my very first time listening to Savatage.

This time I will have a short introduction in my Bastardized Malay language and then I will proceed to elaborate on this release using my Broken English language. 

Sejak berapa postings yang lepas.... - Dari rock Jerman (Powerwolf), ke rock Melayu (Wings), ke rock Omputeh (Paradise Lost) dan sekarang ke rock Jepun (Anthem).

Sapa baca blog ni tahu la aku ni minat kat Anthem.
Adalah menjadi cita2 Mat Jenin aku nak menengok Anthem beraksi.

Memang Yo-Yo-Oh la angan2 Mat Jenin aku ni, tapi begitu jugak ngan masa aku zaman budak2 sekolah dulu, selalu berangan, asyik berfantasi, KHAYAL, MENGELAMUN, cammana nak menengok Iron Maiden beraksi, otak fikir carik jalan ..hari menjadi bulan, bulan menjadi tahun, tahun menjadi dekad...gitu la siksa aku berangan nak rasa suasana Iron Maiden main live macammana. akhirnya aku dah dapat tengok dorang 10 kali kat suasana lain2, daerah lain2, kat 6 negara berlainan kat 3 continents benua berlain ngan ikat perut backpacking, berkorban macam2 dan sanggup buat kerja giler ni semua pasal ni la minat aku... Maiden.. so tolong la faham dan jangan lahar atau kutuk aku. Nak rasa korang tu lagi civilised, bagus, mulia dan beriman dari aku bila baca blog ni, sila simpan kebanggaan korang tu dalam hati je la. 
Dan aku harap dapat tengok dorang 2016 nanti, kalau dorang datang main semua negara ASEAN? dan jika mereka gunakan kapalterbang Ed Force One, apa sahaja berkemungkinan... Wahhhh suka la semua orang kat rantau ni..   
TETAPI.... Anthem ni lain sikit.... KONGAJAR BETUL!! Semua cakap Jepun gitu. Mana aku paham apa kebenda informasi dorang. BAGERO punya JEPUN!!!

Lagi satu band rock Jepun yang aku paling pening nak tahu informasi tapi memang tak tahu mana nak dapat khabar berita ialah band rok nama OUTRAGE. Seronok ok Thrash Metal si Outrage ni. Antara band rock Jepun yang aku suka la jugak sampai sekarang selain Anthem. Ada jugak la band2 rock Jepun lain yang aku minat, tapi sekarang dah ke laut. Aku kureng dah... selain dari memang susah giler untuk dapatkan informasi atau apa sahaja la tentang mereka2.

Apa pun, sebelum aku mula review ULASAN keluaran terbaru ANTHEM, bawah ni ada 2 video live dari 2006 / 2007 dari release DVD Anthem Immortal dan release Unbroken berapa tahun lepas, kasi thrill sikit,, dahulu2 dorang bawak lagu Wild Anthem yang actually ada kat Blazing Faith Revisited. Nanti la aku try rakam pakai henpon sikit nanti bila aku tengok kat tv. Korang jangan tanya aku cammana nak upload macam real nye kat youtube, aku tak tahu. HAHA. Tunggu la ada orang buat nanti. Mesti ada punye, peminat Anthem satu dunia.

Ni rakaman si Eizo Sakamoto masih ada. Sort-Dort la dekni, macam wayar kejap kena kejap tak kena, tapi terbaik ok...haha. "Midnight ShoutTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!" haha.
Lepas tu korang tengok Naoto Shibata ni memang dah macam Steve Harris la kat video ni...
Anyway, dia ketua Anthem, dia yang tukang tulis semua lagu... Kira dia semua la..
Aku sangat suka dia.. haha.
Dan lagi satu guitarist dia Akio Shimizu, dekni memang hebat hebat hebat giler Dahsyat la kan.
Drummer ni Homma. Dah tak sama Anthem lagi, apa aku tahu dia eksiden jalanraya ada cedera tak tahu la apa nasib dia sekarang.
Aku satu patah perkataan pun tak paham apa lagu ni kecuali korus tu sebenarnye Inggeris tapi dah jadi bahasa Merapu bila Anthem main live HAHA...
Aku tak paham la apa dorang nyanyi pun, tapi lagu ni contoh kenapa aku suka Anthem. 
Dan aku suka tengok audience dorang, very happening, huru-hara tapi tetap disiplin dan hormat.

Apa aku paham, orang yang upload video ni, dia tahu band Anthem dari aku. Cehhhh, maaf la kalau salah. Dia suruh aku upload betul2 pasal aku rakam pakai henfon je dan upload sikit je kasi tunjuk cammana bentuk rakaman video ni, dan aku pun bukan reti2 edit, lagipun aku puye versi Blue-Ray.
So orang ni, aku pun tak tahu dia dari negara mana, aku suspek dia dari Brazil, dia gi beli jugak release ni dan aku rasa dia pun dah jadi peminat Anthem jugak haha.

Kalau aku salah intepretasi apa aku cerita berlaku pasal tukang upload video ni, maaf la haha.

OK dah cukup la aku merapu cakap melayu pasar aku, lepas ni aku cuba speaking london.

A new Anthem release to celebrate their 30th Years Anniversary. Anthem is a very nice rock band from Japan that gives my heart a flutter often with their style of heavy metal.
Not as much fluttering as Iron Maiden or Toto, but still a thunderous pumping flutter that thrills and excites me.

ANTHEM - BLAZING FAITH REVISITED.
I got the limited Edition Deluxe Edition because I want the second disc. I will go thru, sort of giving my review and opinion on this latest Anthem release which is actually released about a week ago in Japan. I got it quite fast, thank you Mr Postman from both countries.

Before I start, I want to make something clear. I PREFER EIZO SAKAMOTO to YUKIO MORIKAWA. I still wander what happened to Eizo now? Second time he left Anthem. Is his health ok? I read somewhere there is a problem?? I dont know, but now YUKIO is back.
One good thing is Anthem has these two superb singers to call back to sing for them anytime all the time, I hope.
EIZO and YUKIO have been doing a musical chair singing for Anthem, Both have now done TWO STINTS with Anthem each and both had shared a total of 16 studio albums. 

This year is Anthem's 30th Anniversary, so what they did with BLAZING FAITH REVISITED is playing in full, in a two prong live attack in different environments, firstly on their FIRST self-titled ANTHEM studio album from 1985, AND also their VERY LATEST ABSOLUTE WORLD studio album from last year 2014.

The tiny Anthem 30th Years Anniversary logo on both discs are very nice touch.
Japanese releases, made in Japan releases are simply the best....

So we have the self titled ANTHEM album from 1985, being played live in the studio with just Anthem and the video cameramen in the same big room playing the whole album live.
Take note only NAOTO SHIBATA was the only one from the original 1985 album. That was an album which Eizo sang, not Yukio. So on first listen to this 2015 LIVE VERSION I have to adjust a little bit on the voice LOL!!.
Even AKIO SHIMIZU is not around yet in Anthem in that time.
So this version is actually a fresh one with 3 members of Anthem not on the original studio album.

So 1st Album Live In The Studio of TEN SONGS, and its amazing what magic the three of the Anthem Musicians -  NAOTO SHIBATA (Bass), AKIO SHIMIZU (guitar) and new guy ISAMU TAMARU (drums) can create and its all here on this release.
It reminds of the Anthem Core DVD of some years back. Same concept.

This part starts with a short Making of Anthem, it shows the crew setting up the studio, the soundchecks. Its very short but very very interesting if you are into Anthem.

Total time is about 47 minutes for this part.
I dont think I need to explain the songs... All 10 songs are nice tremendous heavy songs.
Wild Anthem is a very popular song, but others like Lay Down, Warning Action, Turn Back To The Night, Rock N Roll Stars, Steeler, make it all songs... are all simply jaw-dropping delivery.
And the camera angles are nice too and all members are shown evenly in this segment.

All Four, Naoto, Yukio, Akio, Isamu played in last years studio album Absolute World.
So for this segment, ANTHEM played live at a VERY VERY TINY CLUB which is what I can imagined from looking at this segment called the La-Mama Club in front of 200 of their fans. So tight squeezed. So near the stage. It must have been amazing.

So Anthem played all 11 songs from this album. I hope I am not wrong, because I have not gotten the studio album yet. 
Total time about slightly less than an HOUR.
Again, another amazing footage if you are into Anthem.

NEXT TIME, I WILL TRY TO RECORD USING MY HANDPHONE WHILE WATCHING THIS DISC ON TV, SOME STUFFS FROM BOTH SEGMENTS AND UPLOAD ON YOUTUBE JUST TO GIVE AN IDEA.

In addition...

There is a30th Anniversary Interview with both Naoto and Akio.

And the INTERVIEWER IS THE FAMOUS JAPANESE MUSIC MAN WHO IS HIGHLY HIGHLY REGARDED IT SEEMS - MASA ITO.
I often see his name on many rock and heavy metal albums, and on magazines, and seems he is such a very important man in the world of music.

AGAIN, A BIG BASTARD!! - NO SUBTITLE. And I dont understand even one bit what they are talking about. IT LOOKS SO INTERESTING AND INFORMATIVE. Very the discipline Japan style of talk. LOL!!
A useless 30 minutes part of the disc. HOW I WISH THERE IS A BLOODY SUBTITLE. BASTARDS!!!!

Anthem, I wont hesitate to say is one of the best (unknown outside Japan) bands there is right now in the heavy rock world and please dont make it like only Japanese or those who understand Japanese listen to them.
Again, on the house request... BASTARDS!!!!!

TO CONCLUDE THIS REVIEW.

THIS IS AN AMAZING, EXCELLENT, AAAAA++++++ RELEASE... If you are an Anthem fan, and definitely there is Anthem Fans all over the world who are really lost in getting information or news on this band and have to pay big money to get the official and original releases... This is again a very very excellent release where you get a live blue ray or dvd with two seperate live performance of two different albums with as usual great sound and footage.
Yes, I am very frustrated due to there is no subtitles on the interviews parts, but let me tell you, AN ANTHEM LIVE BLUE RAY/DVD/CD never never disappoint. 

ANTHEM IS A MOST AMAZING BAND. Long live Anthem.

And please get Eizo back.  OK OK, Yukio is fine. No problem LOL!!!.

One sided is the huge live poster of the four of them in action with the audience..

Before I forget, the one thing that distinguish the deluxe edition besides it being a Blue-Ray and not a normal DVD, this version has a second CD which is also a SHM-CD.
It carries the audio of the First album live in the studio.
I wish there was another CD for the Absolute World live versions too.
But still its really wonderful package.

p.s - This review of the new Anthem release is quickly done while at same time listening to Uli Jon Roth Scorpions Revisited double cd.
I think this is one of the best cds ever if you have any liking of older Scorpions.
BUY IT PLEASE!!! Trust me.
I had reviewed it somewhere behind. Oh, get either a cheaper Korean or more expensive Japanese press instead of the European ones. An extra track to make it 20 songs.

Paradise Lost - The Plague Within (eco-book version)

Salam Semua, Dari Kumpulan Rock Melayu Wings, kita ke...Kumpulan Rock Omputeh.. lagi tepat lagi Kumpulan Rock dari UK, PARADISE LOST.

As usual I will talk a bit in my Broken English, and then followed by me talking in my BASTARDIZED Malay Language.

I had liked and still like Paradise Lost, one of those bands that can play different style of music which range from the heaviest DOOM-miest music right to the most "electro - techno" tunes and their fans still love them. This has not taken into consideration the vocal delivery that range from the depths of bowels of hell to a sweet angelic one LOL!!

I finally got to see them play last year, and it was a very wonderful experience especially being surrounded by like-minded Paradise Lost fans.
Though I find it weird as live, their setlist of songs style differ so much from one song to the next that each song needs for me to adjust how to react.

I think that is a sign of a great band. They can play what they like with no worries about BEING ACCEPTED or not. 

The new album when it was announced, The Plague Within - as usual with previous new Paradise Lost albums makes a guessing game. Will it be another Depeche Mode style or back to their Gothic Doom style or somewhere in between?
But all is well, Nick Holmes return back with some songs sung in his Death Metal Growls style of old, there are enough varieties of songs to make me happy.

Greg Mackintosh is simply a master for Paradise Lost, he wrote all the songs alone on this album, and his lead guitars is so wonderful to hear on this album.

I hear this album the first time and I dont get it, after listening to it a few times, especially in the still of the night, alone walking on the streets or on the bus and train, in the coldness of night, then I think this is another very very good Paradise Lost album.

Paradise Lost is so beautifully and sweetly depressing. LOL!!

Anyway, this is the Eco-Book version so it has Victim of the Past with two versions.
The 2nd version is a live version I think taken from the BULGARIA show that was intended for a DVD coming soon...

masa diumumkan Paradise Lost nak keluar album baru, terus mesti saspens, pasal tak tahu apa style muzik dorang nak mainkan...
Adakah Eletronics, adakah akan lagi baik dari Depeche Mode? Atau main style Gothic / Doom Metal dorang?
Tapi sebelum keluar album ni kan Nick Holmes penyanyi dorang dah masuk kumpulan supergroup Death Metal Sweden - Bloodbath dan Bloodbath nye album baru kan keluar dulu tu hari, jadi boleh agak la arah tujuan style Paradise Lost ni kali kan.

Lepas tu lagi satu... lagu pertama yang dipersembahkan di laman internet, siap ngan video ialah lagu Beneath Broken Earth..

Wah so tu jam dalam hati aku cakap, lagu rancak!! lagu rancak!!! hah kau!! sekali terkejut beruk ok.

Seronok!!!. Best kan Greg Mackintosh... Korang kalau dengar album Draconian Times, lagu last Jaded..kat bahagian2 nak abis lagu tu,   aku suka dekni.




so lagi la aku suspens lagu pertama dipersembahkan dari album ni... adakah ni momentum album terbaru... ??

So aku bila dapat cd ni, wahhhhh pasang... takut2 ok nak dengar haha...

Lagu pertama album ni ialah NO HOPE IN SIGHT...




 WOOO GEMBIRA ok lagu pertama album macam gini... dah agak mesti semua lagu sedap yang lain haha. Ni lagu, dah kul 11 malam, 12 malam, korang jalan kaki sorang2 dalam gelap, naik bas dah takde penumpang gitu, pasang headphone bukak kuat2..., wahhhhh, TANGKAP!!! Ni la kelebihan Paradise Lost...boleh kasi aku tangkap gitu bila ada waktu yang sesuai.


Then dengar lagi...
Ohh Beneath Broken Earth ialah rupanya lagu paling slow album ni,
cuma Sacrifice The Flame, momentum sama macam Beneath Broken Earth

Lain2 semua tak slow sangat tapi of course la depressing2 doom2 gothic2 style gitu macam Paradise Lost buat dari dulu,
dan ada lagu rancak..contoh  Flesh From The Bone..




Nick Holmes tak semua lagu dia buat suara growl lama dia untuk album ni, lagu lain biasa2 je suara dia.

Tapi aku nak komplen la, Paradise Lost ni suka tukar2 drummer haha.

Tapi lagi 4 orang tu maintain la, Nick, Greg , rhythm gitaris yang suka goyang2 badan goyang2 bontot kepala botak tu dan jugak ngan bassist dia, kebelakang je bassist dia... dah tu live dvds Paradise Lost cam kureng je bassist dia..sedih.

Dan of course la ada macam2 style lagu, ada pompuan nyanyi pun backing kat satu lagu, dan of course untuk telinga aku ada satu lagu ROCK MAMPOS tetap ada iaitu lagu CRY OUT..



secara keseluruhan aku suka la ni album, aku harap dapat tengok Paradise Lost main lagi...

dan aku harap dapat tengok konsert dorang sendiri, atau dorang headline..

Masa aku tengok dorang kat Hellfest dorang main dalam satu jam? 70 minit gitu je.

So tu jam jadual waktu tu cakap Paradise Lost main petang la, kul 4 gitu, then kat Altar stage, dan korang tahu Paradise Lost clash ngan sapa kat main stage?
SOUNDGARDEN!!

So mula2 macam, kongajar betul la Hellfest, asyik band clash yang aku nak tengok dua2,
tapi fikir bagus jugak... Biar semua orang pergi tengok Soundgarden, yang confirm nak tengok Paradise Lost tentu peminat2 dorang kan...

HAH KAU!!! Bergoyang2 mamat2 Peranchis ni semua haha, happy siot.

Nah...tahun lepas Paradise Lost main kat Hellfest pentas kecik Altar clash ngan Soundgarden, rasa macam semalam...

Aku keluar kan handphone kejap tangkap video pendek masa Say Just Words.


Happening, aku diri tepi2 dah, kat tengah...dah la tak nampak stage, dah tu semua huru-hara tak kuasa aku...haha. Diri diam2 sopan santun dah.


KORANG BAYANGKAN tahun depan Iron Maiden world tour datang Malaysia, Singapore then dorang buat tema, British Invasion gitu, then band pembukaan dorang pakai Paradise Lost ngan Pet Shop Boys.. GILER BEST!! OK aku dah start merapek...   OK TU JE....
