JB 5 Jun 2010 Double Trouble R.J. Dio Tribute bootleg and some other missing songs from...

Aku korek2 carik Mr Big nye show yang aku bootleg, dan jumpa balik ni bootleg untuk konsert Double Trouble ( Search & Wings ) kat Stadium Larkin Johor Bahru 5hb Jun 2010. Ramai dari korang pun pergi, dan aku pun dah pernah blog pasal ni tu jam.

Tetapi, aku perasan dvd rasmi untuk show ni takde beberapa lagu.

Crowd happening, tu ah kecoh-kecoh keliling aku. Dan tu pasal aku tak masukkan Mentari Merah Di Ufuk Timur, pasal memang kecoh dan nak elakkan apa2 embarassment sangat haha.

So enjoy, beberapa lagu versi kecohrable fan bootleg yang takde kat dvd rasmi.

- Holy Diver - siap Awie ngan Amy berbual2 sikit kasi tribute, dan ni lagu guitarist cuma Joe Wings sorang ngan Search provides the bass and drums.
- Alam Barzakh intro was great, bertambah great ngan meraban budak2 keliling aku.

boxset kumpulan May 25th Anniversary Discography Limited Edition

It was never an intention, but I realised I blog three consecutive times on the heavy rock band May, starting from their 25th Anniversary concert to their bootleg of the show and now the boxset that was released for their 25th Anniversary. Spectacular hardcover full colour book with more than 110 pages thick with a hard casing with a dvd of interviews and a cd of new songs.

OK ni last kopek la aku blog pasal kumpulan MAY sampai suatu masa lain, anyway dok lagi brapa minggu Maiden nak start Maiden England Tour dan seluruh pelosok dunia punya mata ( if you're an Iron Fuckin Maiden fan that is ) akan bertumpu kat USA untuk baca laporan, dengar bootlegs setiap atau sebahagian dan menganalisa tour Maiden untuk tahun ni. Tiga post berturut2 dah pasal MAY.

Ni dia MAY 25th ANNIVERSARY DISCOGRAPHY LIMITED EDITION.
Kira meraikan jubli perak dorang, ngan satu buku hardcover kulit tebal 100% warna warni setebal ( tadi aku cuba kira mukasurat, aku give up so ni tunjuk betapa tebal dan puas hati buku ni ), lebih 110 muka surat.

Foto2 dalam buku ni memang world. Aku kagum tengok koleksi foto, dan aku dah cakap 100+++ muka surat kan, so layan. I think this is a treasure for not only Malay rock fans, but for everyone.

k, dvd tadi aku dah cakap sikit kan pasal interview whatever....menarik la, dan informatif.
Ni cd lak, lagu semua best2 tapi Nafas, Hipokrit terutama Hipokrit ni la memang best sangat, dan aku suka ending Pahlawan Mimpi/Tragedi, very melodic guitar.

Of course ada lagu2 slow la kan, aku paling suka Menanti, dan lagu Nostagia tu kira cam campur2 lagu2 slow lama gitu, dan memang best la dengar dan terus terkenang zaman dulu...kira tiap2 lagu dalam lagu tu, aku cuba ingat kat mana aku pertama kali aku dengar lagu tersebut, kat mana aku beli atau pinjam ( hohoho ) kaset-kaset album2 MAY tersebut zaman dulu masa masih sekolah, dan kawan2 aku yang aku tak jumpa lagi bila meninggalkan zaman budak2 atau sekolah dulu, lagu apa yang sapa kawan2 aku, aku siap masih ingat nama lagik, minat.

Starting lagu Nostalgia ialah lagu Dalam Kembara...

So thats about it.....

The autographs is a very nice gesture to complete this fabulous release.

Thats about it, now... I got to get back to the real world.. till the next time UP THE IRONS!!

bootleg May 19/05/2012 & review Iron Maiden FC magazine 92

TWO PARTS, First part is MAY bootleg for any May fans interested, and then Iron MAYden latest fc mag. hohoho.

pt 1, untuk peminat2 kumpulan May,

front

back

Aku suka la dua2 depan dan belakang covers..... memang, aku syok sendiri masuk bakul angkat sendiri biarkan ku sendiri...

Bootleg is here.
http://www.youtube.com/user/tempehasuka666/videos

pt 2, the iron maiden fan club magazine 92 has arrived.
40 pages. I think this issue is less thicker, and I do really wish for more reading material but its alrite still.

The cover, I think I posted the photo of it about few blogs past.

Anyone reading rock news on the internet would read about the death of Kerry King Slayer guitar tech Armand Crump and how the rock world has so many tributes to him from huge and famous names of many bands,
I am not aware he is a huge Maiden fan, even a fan club member, and the Maiden crew has great things to say about him..

You have the person who does the live video recording, directing and editing that we see during each Maiden live show at the huge jumbo screens. Very informative.
The documentary that comes with the En Vivo dvd really shows the jobs of the crew really well.

You have this Bruce Air Flight 666 Simulator reviews and experiences. How I wish I can go for this. The write ups is so interesting for a person like me who have no idea of being in a plane cockpit, especially as its Bruce Dickinson who is the pilot instructor. Must be like in a movie or a documentary like that.

Also the Primal Rock Rebellion got a SIX pages interviews and nice photos...

Also the flashback thingy to some old fan club magazines, and really love the short review of Powerslave when it first came out in 1985, from the fan club magazine itself.

The new tshirts are nice, but...not nice when it comes to taking out the wallet. So... SKIP!, as in SKIP PY DOO BE DOO.

Back cover Sooty with Nicko, or is it Nicko with Sooty.

thats about it... Have a happy month of MAY with MAY and MAYDEN.

some photos from this issue 92. and the centerpage of Adrian Smith is very pretty.

MAY 25th Anniversary - Live in Singapore 19th May 2012

MAY, a (heavy) rock band from Perak, Malaysia plays an awesome two hours show at Kallang Theater, Singapore. Its kind of a very very rare occasion to see May plays a full length concert, especially in Singapore. I enjoyed it very much. Worth the time and money spent to attend this event. So this my haywire review and ulasan porak peranda.

Pada aku, nak tengok kumpulan MAY main konsert penuh yang selama 2 jam, show dorang sendiri, lagi susah dari nak tengok Iron Maiden. Jadi bila aku tahu MAY nak main full length concert kat Panggung Kallang, aku terus ambik cuti satu hari pasal aku rota kena kerja malam lak.

Siap MAY autographed lagik.

OK, tiket Stall - 88 ketul, tiket Circle - 55 ketul. ( yep macam tengok wayang zaman tok kadok dulu panggung semua besar2 sebijik2 gitu, tak macam skarang wayang semua multiplex ). About 200RM ++ & 130RM ++ respectively. Tapi its MAY dan macam aku cakap, susah nak dapat tengok MAY main full length concert so go I must.

Sebelum show start, kat the huge video screens ( total 3 ) ada this informative and funny interview ngan empat2 anggota MAY semasa persiapan untuk konsert Singapura ni, ada soalan2 serious dan jugak soalan happy2 gitu. Antara nye kalo takde May apa dorang buat? sapa paling handsome? Petua jaga rambut? I think they are very humble people when answering in their jovial ways.

So this is the setlist...fuck, aku dah lama tak dengar lagu2 MAY, serious berbual nak pergi ni show ni pun aku tak dengar kasi freshen-up atau ingat2kan balik ke hapa ke, jadi kadang2 tu macam ingat2 lupa title dia. Tapi tu yang thrill tu kalo dah lama tak dengar, then terus dengar live.

Persembahan cuma Mus, Man, Abu, Yus. Dorang empat aje. Takde keyboards player. Cuma 5 lagu slow kat tengah tu dorang pakai extra accoustic guitarist Putra dari band Stardust.

1. Intro & Abu on guitar
2. Hakikat Perjuangan
3. Penghuni Kota
4. Strategi
5. Jiwa Karat
6. Dari Kacamata ( 'near 10 mins long' version )
7. Siapa Kau?
8. Nafas
9. Mai Pen Rai
10. Graffiti

11. Ku Dalam Dilema ( acoustic )
12. Sketsa Sebuah Cinta ( acoustic )
13. Sinar ( acoustic. )

14. Gadis Bertudung Putih
15. Jemu
16. Wira Cyborg

17. Pelayaran ( amazing version )
18. Sendiri
19. Cinta Mu Mekar Di Hati

So this is my observations.

- May nye persembahan, terutama first half, Heavy nak mampos. Aku suka.

- Intro muzik dorang seram siak.
- Dari Kacamata - serettttttt.....

- Mus - gerekkk, gerekk, gerek. Also he talk about May's history and stories. And his 'balik ke pangkal jalan' story.
- Mus cerita zaman 80an , masa May perform kat Johor, Melaka, peminat hardcore fans dorang dari Singapore datang all the way support and I think he refer to the female fans, dia cerita pasal Peminat2 wanita dorang yang dulu vogue. Dan skarang dah more Muslimah, tapi tetap rock.

Mus cakap dorang jemput Yantzen dan Oney tapi dorang ada lain commitment, and Mus cakap kalo dorang tak ambik tempat Mus, tak tahu apa jadi adakah May bertahan sampai skarang, THIS IS A BIT SIMILAR TO IRON MAIDEN'S PREDICAMENT. Betapa Blaze Bailey orang cakap apa pun performance dia, tapi kalo dia tak jadi penyanyi Maiden masa Bruce keluar Maiden selama 6 tahun, dapat ke kita Iron Maiden yang ada skarang??

So Mus respek dan suruh peminat kasi round of applause untuk Yantzen dan Oney, dan May bawak satu lagu dari zaman kedua2 penyanyi tersebut. And I was hoping for Bergegar Segunung Rindu tapi dorang main Jemu. Sigh. haha.

- Mus happening, suruh peminat2 yang duduk kat Circle ( tingkat 5 ) dan turun pergi Stall ( tingkat 3 ) supaya penuhkan ruang floor. Aku rasa security mesti kelam kabut kejap. Huru hara haha. I think this is the best moment of the whole night.
- Cinta Mu Mekar Di Hati, majoriti parts audience yang nyanyi, Mus tenyeh microfon je kat audience.

- Tapi aku cam heran la last part lepas lagu last ni.. Apsal aku rasa MAY masih nak main lagi walau dah tembak tu hurray hurray nye ribbon confettis?. So no Racun Bermadu, no Black Area, no Derita Bangsa, no Bayangan Hidup, no Bergegar Segunung Rindu.
Boleh? Bayangan Hidup - May best song ever?. Tapi aku suka sangat lagu ni, betul2 punye bermakna la,....first time aku tengok May ( bukan setakat dengar kat kaset JJR ) ialah kat TV3 Muzik Muzik bawak lagu ni....terus makin minat...giler.

Tapi apa pun kudos to the organiser pasal buat show May yang fans dorang dapat tengok dorang main full show, dan suasana happy and calm ambience, ok la, memang tak full house, tapi boleh nampak la May ada dorang punye peminat loyal dari berbagai umur, walaupun banyak shows bagus kebelakangan ni terutama ngan peminat2 muzik semua kena pilih betul2 show2 mana dorang nak pergi pasal budget atau time and date constraint.

Sadaqa - Ramli Sarip - Masjid Hasanah funds & Singapore only release.

( Actually kan, berapa tahun lepas masa aku pergi Reservist, jumpa satu kawan dan dia dah cakap pasal Ramli Sarip wants to release a cd for a mosque fundraising benefit, akhirnya cd ni keluar tapi untuk Masjid Hasanah, bukan untuk lagi satu masjid kawan aku cerita. Apa pun, lets doa semua projek2 fundraising for all masjid2 & madrasah2 & mana2 pertubuhan Islam for whatever reasons dorang collect funds dari public akan berjaya, dan hit their targets on time, dan kalo boleh ada extra lagik untuk masa depan. Amin. )

Anyway ni cd Ramli Sarip buat ( lagu baru, lagu susah nak carik dalam cd, plus lagu lama ) untuk kumpul dana Masjid Hasanah Singapore, dan cd ni khas untuk pasaran Singapura, tapi aku tak bedek, korang kat Malaysia try to look for this cd too. Anyway, harga dia $30. Aku rasa 30 ketul untuk tolong masjid Hasanah and get this superb songs is worth it la.

As aku tak follow up sangat on his official releases , tapi Anugerah Nabi is first time on official CD kan dan dia tak pernah main?
liriks such as - " dan peristiwa teka teki bagi Quraish anugerah abadi bagi Nabi".
and of course aku tak pernah ada satu lagu ni dalam bentuk official cd so its wonderful
the superduper song Kekasihku in all its electric current glory.
Super song.

And of course you have Iqra - gementar mengigil roh yang kudus, di puncak sendirian jiwa resah. Yang liriks very agama, tapi muzik reminds me of masa Jimmy Page/Robert Plant reunion first time keluarkan No Quarters tu.

Plus lagu2 lain, bahasa terindah, tangan tangan amal, ku cari damai abadi, ziarah, negeri hakiki, andai aku tahu , kau yang satu.

Some of his best works tapi memang susah nak carik la. Lagu wayang and all that.

Plus of course a few lagu2 lama, bukan kerana nama dan perjalanan hidup dan of course Sweet Charity Haji.

M1! M1! M1! M1! M! .....

So like I say, its a bloody good collection all in one place. Sorry, it should be a very superb collection of his spiritual and religious theme songs all in one place haha.

Dalam banyak2 artis melayu, Ramli Sarip has one of the best releases for collections la, dari zaman 4cd Boxset tu, ke that duet album release last year, dan yang ni latest Sadaqa ni. Belum campur sweet charity nye buku 40 years tu lagik.

I think his Sadaqa live show is going to be awesome, and it will be more awesome if I can be there, but...oh no kerja malam pulak....fikiran...

last bus, Ni kalo korang belum baca, review sokkabar Today untuk Sadaqa ni. Biar betik kan dia punye review gini macam punye menarik -

If there's still any argument left about whether music is a universal language, this album will definitely support the proposition. Veteran Malay singer Ramli Sarip may have honed his musical instincts and made a name for himself performing rock songs, but these days, the man they call Papa Rock has eschewed the distortion guitars and heavy backbeat for something more spiritual. Namely, this new album called Sadaqa (which loosely means "charity" and "a gift"). It's a collection of 14 spiritual songs, and fans have already started calling it his finest work in his four-decade long career. It compiles songs previously recorded, such as Iqra, Perjalanan Hidup and Bukan Kerana Name, as well as newer tracks. While the content of the songs carry messages of peace and love, what is more captivating is the performance by Ramli. I don't know whether it's because this is an album of spiritual music, but there's always something about the genre that evokes a more soulful experience, reminding me of the early works by Amy Grant, Scott Wesley Brown, or even Ravi Shankar's Three Ragas. It's evident to the listener that Ramli really digs deep for this one - whether or not you understand the language. His distinct vocals take on a new timbre and edge, and there's raw emotion in every song. Ramli has always said that he likes to give back to the community and with this album, perhaps he has. The album is available at Muzika Records at Joo Chiat Complex. CHRISTOPHER TOH

overdiose ( with photos )

ok now better with photos.
Two nice Craig Goldy albums.

'overdose on dio' dua tiga hari ni, masa berjalan kaki, dalam train, dalam bas.
Aku rip kat mp3 player aku dream evil, magica dan dua2 live recordings untuk tour dua2 albums ni..

Dream Evil is my favourite Dio album. I think its the best Dio studio album ever. Maybe Last In Line is second. In fact Lock Up The Wolves, Kiling The Dragon, even Magica is great too. Yes yes, I know even Sacred Heart bla bla bla bla etc et.
Holy Diver? Well.... for me Holy Diver album is fantastic, unfortunately, some other Dio albums have so much more awesome songs.

I was wondering if in fact Jimmy Bain would say what he say about Ronnie James Dio if Dio was alive still. Vivian Campbell, I guess got a long personal history with Dio so I think people wont be surprised about his statements so much anymore.
Anyway, when people is dead, they cannot answer any accusations or bad things said about them.

In fact as a fan, I am really want to know about the Norwegians + Rowan Robertson Lock Up The Wolves era band. This is what I am searching for.
And of course we already have Dio Disciples.
But the Vivian Campbell band would be definitely interesting to hear once its live.

I really hope Dream Evil will come out with a deluxe packaging that had been released just like the first three Dio albums with Vivian Campbell. I hope it has the full lyrics too.
Easily has some of the best Dio songs that not many people know I guess like Sunset Superman, Naked In The Rain and the super duper awesomeness Faces In The Window ( We are evil and devine, the creation of the mind ). Rest of the songs are very nice too, Night People, All The Fools Sailed Away, even Overlove and When A Woman Cries etc etc. I was wondering even I Could Have Been A Dreamer was not played live even if its a single and the lyrics is printed on Hit Parader.

As a school boy, I was literally thinking Naked In The Rain, is like being really naked in the rain :-)

An example of a live show of that era is on this nice Tokyo Japan show on 4th October 1987. They even played STARS. Naked wooo In The Rain woooo, plus all the great songs from this era and with lots of intricate and unusual live twist and turns of songs we all know so well from Ronnie era Rainbow, Black Sabbath and Dio period itself.

Now Magica,

Nice packaging of the first release because it comes with the story itself, which is read for about 18 minutes by Ronnie Dio himself.
Now the songs, Fever Dream is like very nice, Turn To Stone and Feed My Head is awesome but the one song that is the for me one of the best songs by Ronnie Dio ever - As Long As Its Not About Love, so beautiful song and sad, as beautiful and sad as Rainbow Eyes.

The live example of this album is another Japanese show but in Osaka 22nd June 2000.
Check out the songs played. As Long As Its Not About Love is actually played live, and look out!! One Night In The City is there too. Next time I overdose on Dio, with Last In Line, then I will heap praises on this song haha.

I really wish I had seen Ronnie live with his own band too, so I can see him with Rainbow and Dio songs. But nevermind, like I say, seeing/hearing Ronnie singing live with Black Sabbath or Heaven and Hell or whatever you want to call it is unforgettable.
Fuck, I got to search back for the recording of that show that night, Falling On The Edge Of World is my favourite live moment then and I still remember it well.

So, like I say Overdiose.
