Kepandaian orang Islam zaman dahulu dalam semua bidang... memang aku terkejut beruk la jugak masuk dewan pameran ni, dari perubatan, bedah orang sakit, matematiks, exploration ( dah masuk macam dunia Rime Of Ancient Mariner ) penerbangan ( dah masuk dunia macam Flight Of Icarus ), ukur2 cammana nak tahu waktu sembayang, tengok angkasa pakai telescope , macam2 lagi la...aku memang salute abis punye la.


Mula2 aku ingat, ni pameran hanya nak tertumpu kat kemajuan Arab Islam zaman kegemilangan dulu je ke?

Tapi aku silap, tak semua Arab. Cina Islam pun ada... Samarkand ngan dorang punye telescope canggih semua ada.

Aku snap setiap satu dari setiap benda dan maklumat dari pameran ni. Ada la dalam 200++ gambar foto.
Nanti la senang2 aku update semua foto, mungkin ada yang minat... tengok pada tahap kemalasan dan kesempatan aku.

Buat sementara, tengok betapa besar giler Kapal Admiral Cheng Ho. Dah macam aircraft carrier pun ada. Siap ada girafah semua..

K, salah satu petanda bulan puasa nak datang dekat..
ialah kalo korang friday kat Singapore dan bila korang gi semayang jemaat kat mesjid2 Singapore, dan budak2
Madrasah Wak Tanjong ngah jual Kurma Amal Madrasah Wak Tanjong Al-Islamiah kat entrance.

Terutama kalo budak2 ni dorang panggil aku " Abang , beli bang ". Keyword " Abang " k.
Hah.... ni la taktik paling mudah nak orang beli barang kita.

Tapi kan tu hari nyonya ni satu kan kat bawah blok, dia tak kuat nak naik slope gitu, so dia panggil aku tolong support dia, dia teriak " uncle!! uncle!! ".
Nyonya ni buta ke. haha.

Cam tahun2 lepas, sekotak harga 11 ketul. OK la, dorang pun aku baca kat sokkabar melayu Singapore tengah nak kumpul berapa juta nak upgrade classrooms, makmal science labs etc. Semoga berjaya ngan lincah. Amin.


So Selamat menjalankan apa2 je la jenis ibadah dan perbuatan baik di bulan Ramadhan untuk semua. Semoga lagi baik dari tahun lepas.

Switching to some other things but just as important... Hoho.

Quite a number of bootlegs live recordings of the current Maiden England USA Tour 2012 from various shows is available.
But I really most love the Philadelphia New Jersey Camden show on the 29 June 2012. I hope I got the date and location correct.
Just love the way the recording was done by the taper. Awesome. And of course Maiden was on fire.

This specific show is the one I choose to add on my Mp3 player for regular listening when walking and in public.





Also been listening back to the Great White tribute of Led Zeppelin from California 1996 and I am not listening to the official CD release but instead the complete about 2hrs FULL show.

Also, very very latest from Poland 7 July 2012, the bootleg of the full show of Adam Lambert fronting Queen. What a very nice selection of songs. Adam Lambert is not Freddie Mercury but still very enjoyable.

Class Acts - kumpulan Gingerbread

Zaman caveman tok kadok dulu, aku ada walkman yang boleh rekod dan ada built in radio.
Zaman tu aku suka dengar progrem lagu permintaan baik omputeh or melayu, pasal lagu best2 pendengar hantar surat mintak suruh DJ putarkan. ( hantar surat ok. Pecah KacaPecah Gelas Dah Baca Harap Balas nye zaman )
So aku akan pasang kaset kosong 90minit. Lagu sedap je aku tekan rekod, sedap je aku tape.
Dan antara lagu kat tape tu ialah " Mat Jiwa Jiwa " oleh Gingerbread. Yang ada Ann Hussein tu. Dengar la ulang2 kat kaset tu aku rakam dari radio, siap ngan suara DJ menyebok. Rakam dari radio ni la selalu jadinye masa tu.

Lawak dan best lagu ni, dah berdozen dozen tahun aku masih boleh ingat lirik lagu ni.
" Daun Kesum Tepi Sawah. Jangan Adik Mengundur Diri Sebelum Kita Bernikah ".
Lagu Abang Mat ngah cuba tackle minah ni yang masih setia kat mambang dia.
so selain mat jiwa jiwa, satu lagi lagu Gingerbread yang aku suka sangat ialah lagu inggeris dorang - Roses.

Tak tahu la dulu korang kat sekolah ada budak2 dalam kelas nyanyi

Dah berpuluh tahun lagu ni, tapi ni la contoh band melayu yang berjaya bawak lagu English yang evergreen malar segar disukai ramai, aku rasa la sampai skarang radio masih main lagu ni kot.
Sayang nye, aku rasa ramai yang dengar lagu ni, tak tahu pun ni lagu band Melayu dari zaman 80an. Mesti dorang ingat, ni band omputeh.

Lagu ni ada kat kaset/piring hitam Class Acts. Sama ngan Tokyo Square " Within You'll Remain ".
Ala...band ada Linda Elizabeth tu.
Within You'll Remain, sampai skarang pun masih evergreen jugak. Walau ni bukan original Tokyo Square Max Surin, tapi lagu dari Hong Kong, tapi Tokyo Square nye version yang sampai skarang masih world.
Dari lagu ni la aku belajar Wo Ai Ni tu apa makna.

Love the way the cover and backcover looks, and the way the individual each member lineup of Class Acts is named based on the photo.

(Portdy aku cuma ada vol 2. Jadi ni alasan nak buat post pasal KISS. Band yang kawan aku kutuk aku cakap cheesy, lantak la, sebelum aku tahu dan dengar Maiden, sebelum aku tahu dan tengok foto King Diamond nye makeup, aku dah tahu Kiss dulu.)
I am still searching for the full complete Kiss Kruise accoustics portion bootleg.
I really want the audio. Godfather Label has it, it seems.

They played Just A Boy from The Elder on the ship.
When I was little, I really really love this song, best two minutes of my childhood. Now I listen to this song, I feel a bit sad. OLD AGE. HAHA.

But lets get back to some older and more famous Kiss accoustic unplugged sessions. Then it was fun hunting for factory pressed bootlegs.
And Die Hard (release by OXYGEN label) is a great one. It got Charisma unplugged style. Fabulous. And Hide Your Heart, all these were not played on the official MTV Unplugged recordings.





Also there is this complete over 2 hrs recordings of the MTV Unplugged session.
Very very nice.
You got " Everytime I Look At You " play three times. Revenge is heavy and so different from the previous Crazy Nights and Hot In The Shade, but Everytime I Look At You makes Revenge so much better.

Beth was also played a few times with restarts. 2000 Man also similar. Domino too. Coming Home too.
Very very nice soundboard recording if you're a KISS fan.
Love all the mistakes and retakes, and Heaven's On Fire...!!





Anyway this was some of the official releases of Kiss MTV Unplugged.



There was a story of Gene Simmon saw a show in Fort Canning Park Singapore, I dont recall what band it was.
Seems he commented that Kiss wont play in that type of place or something.

Of course.... They should play Indoor Stadium so Paul Stanley can fly from one of the stadium to the other during Love Gun with all the explosions from start to finish. And Gene Simmons would spit blood and sings God Of Thunder on the roof.
And I hope to stand there Dave Murray side. Of course they must start with Modern Day Delilah, and play all my favourite songs and of course Just A Boy haha.
Hmmmnnnn daydream.

Shakespeare's Prince Hamlet and Dance Of Death and its Programme Tour Book

Ilmu pengetahuan tu boleh dapat kat mana2.
Ahad lepas ada peluang mendangok kejap kat tempat kerja so aku belek2 sokabar omputeh bahagian ulasan buku.

OOOhh ni Shakespeare punye ayat rupanya dari Prince Hamlet.
Laaa baru aku tahu.

Dan..ilmu Pengetahuan tu boleh dapat kat mana2, termasuk dalam buku program ni dari tahun 2003 dulu.

So, as in maintaining with the Dance Of Death theme for this post, I dont know what to share, so I go thru some things and I think you guys who havent seen the Dance Of Death World Tour 2003-2004 Programme Book or Program Book or Tour Book or whatever you call it will find the following insightful.

I think this Dance Of Death programme book is interesting because it has a lot of informative and educational text, at least for me. It has all the inside stories of making of the Dance Of Death album with all the band members and Kevin Shirley.
Each song has words from the songwriters for that song.


And as you all know Dance Of Death specially has a few songs with such fabulous and historical backgrounds like Montsegur, Paschendale , and even Dance Of Death.
So its really interesting programme book to read thru.







I say it again, Dance Of Death ( the song ) is one of the most fabulous live song ever.
I tell you again, when the show Singapore has the draped changed to the Grim Reaper Eddie and on Janick Gers side was set up an accoustic guitar, it was like the biggest dream come true.
I never expect to see the song played live on the last tour and to see it four times altogether is magic.
