This is Rainbow's Long Live Rock 'n' Roll Deluxe Edition double cd.
If you are prepared to continue reading this post, you will surely know how much this album means to you. The content and packaging of this double cd for me is worth it to buy again this album.
Rainbow songs colour my whole life, I guess its true for some of you too.
An album that got everything from fast and heavy to slow and sadness, from the evil mystic of Gates of Babylon to the sorrow of lost love of Rainbow Eyes.
The very last time Ritchie Blackmore, Cozy Powell and Ronnie James Dio create magic together.
On this album the bass player is Bob Daisley, who after this formed up Blizzard Of Ozz with Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Rhoads and then continue with other famous names bands.
For many of you reading this, how many hundreds? possibly thousand times you have listen and singalong to KILL THE KING, Gates Of Babylon, the title track, and Rainbow Eyes. Plus others like Sensitive to Light, the shed, LA connection, and Lady of the Lake.
So my one liner on CD1 that we all know so well. " Still as awesome, exciting, devilly, and tragic and beautiful and wonderfully brilliant music , but now remastered and louder ", so I can listen better :-)
So next CD2. Total of 14 songs.
Rough Mixes of the seven songs excluding Gates Of Babylon.
The rough mixes of LLRnR is not really rare with bootlegs and as even youtube has it way before this, but this is the first time its released officially.
- Gates of Babylon is not included because it was not written and finished when the rough mix was done.
- Rainbow Eyes is completely different because it was re-recorded, and the finished product is one of the most beautiful song ever.
Shepperton Film Studios Rehearsal is rehearsal in preparation for a tour.
- Long Live Rock N Roll has already transformed into a complete extended live monster.
- Kill The King on this version is bass-heaven.
Don Kirshner's Rock Concert is I think using of studio tracks with Dio singing live
I think its for some tv show total of 5 songs with 2 outtakes.
The booklet has a long essay and thick with lots of nice photos. Telling the story of the musical chairs of Rainbow, Tony Carey story is in the booklet, I never knew LA Connection was written on his escape and departure from the band from the evil cluthes of Blackmore's pranks haha.
Really interesting to read about all the evilness and horror and ghostly and satanic situation they encounter during recording session in this French studio.
its a good read that makes the hair on my neck stand actually.
MENYERAMKAN BILA MANUSIA CARIK PASAL NGAN MAKHLUK HALUS NGAN PANGGIL2 DAN BORAK2 NGAN DORANG. " MY NAME IS BAAL ". Kecoh sey...ni kira cam budak2 main Spririt Of The Coin gitu la. Jangan weii...kalo spirit tu teka underwear korang nye warna betul, baru korang tahu its not laughing matter anymore...mampos korang kejong tak boleh tido malam dah.

nikmat air - Water, water everywhere...nor any drop to drink.
Water, water, every where,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, every where,
Nor any drop to drink
- samuel taylor coleridge
Masalah takde air paip kat Lembah Kelang dah selesai kan buat masa ni?
Rasanya semua tempat dah kira ok kan? Allah je yang tahu betapa keadaan berapa minggu lepas dah ye, berhari2, sapa yang kena tahu la apa aku tengah berbual.
Mesin Basuh pun jadi tempat simpan air. Tong beras pun keluarkan beras jadi simpan air jugak.
benda paling mudah nak gi toilet pun jadi dugaan, mandi lagik.., ni semua problematic. Nak makan kat kedai pun pandai2 basuh tangan sendiri, kedai pun takde air pe.
Air bersih ni penting,
aku masih ingat bila air kumbahan dikitar semula diperkenalkan dan dipromote kat satu tempat, ada orang reaksi lain2, tapi sedihnye ada orang aku tahu kat tempat lain mengejek2 sekian2 masyarakat termasuk la aku kan? 'minum air kotor, air longkang, air kencing ", orang tu sangat aku kesian, pasal air tu dah bersih, dah suci, dah boleh minum dan boleh ambik wuduk.
Allah beri manusia akal, sekarang manusia berusaha carik air bersih ngan convert recycled air sampah air terpakai dan jugak air masin laut. Insyallah satu hari nanti semoga teknologi ni murah dan mudah, takdelah masalah air bersih kat mana2 dalam dunia.
Dan aku pernah dengar kuliah, ustaz ni tegur betapa pun jemaah kat masjid berpakaian berserban , berjubah, jangan lupa cermin diri cammana cara ambik wuduk sebelum masuk dewan solat.
Let Save Water. Water is precious. Agama islam dah ajar ni dari dulu lagi.
So this is the continuation of the "doom to never end," another section of the Sultan Of Science Exhibition at Singapore Science Center last year. I hope to upload everything by this year haha, I kind of guess these infos is beneficial for everyone.
As usual all exhibits are in ENGLISH, so its self explanatory.
Al Jazari (circa 1160-1260) bijak pandai Islam yang cipta dan perbaiki cara2 nak dapatkan air , alihkan air, permudahkan kehidupan, management of water, dan ciptaan dia banyak bantu untuk masyarakat hidup ramai2 beratus2 ribu orang kat satu tempat kota, pasal nak dapatkan air dah mudah, tak yah nak carik2 merata tempat.

I know its going to be good because the Nabataea as the first promo song is very good but I never knew its going to be this damn fabulous. Happy Happy HELLOWEEN indeed. music at melody helloween chameleon
I lost touch on Helloween after they play Bukit Larangan Singapore in 24 Feb 2008. It was a fun and happy show with Andi Deris "sweating like a pig", and after complaining of the weather he can still wear that suit which is like the Gambling With The Devil cover.
From the start of the AC/DC intro tape For Those About To Rock, happiness is all around.
After that show I dont really bother about the songs from the next 7 Sinners cd.
Though I do check out a bit of the footage of Helloween's show in Taiwan for that 7 Sinners tour, there was one awesome video recording from the balcony. Happening Taiwan audience.
but then the last month or so, I sampled the three new songs Nabataea, Burning Sun and Another Shot of Life which is already on youtube before the launch of the new album is very nice. I think I listen to Nabatea once a day during the first week then. I really love this Nabataea song time changes.
These 3 songs makes me want to buy the new Helloween Straight Out Of Hell cd, but then I spend my money on another of the Rainbow deluxe 2cd instead haha.
I got an itch to listen to some old Helloween, so I rip my Chameleon cd to the mp3 player and also added a popular bootleg from the Chameleon tour in 1993 called Music At Melody.
Its the 2nd show from the tour, audience taped at Melody Stockholm 15 September 1993.
I like Chameleon, but of course it cannot be compared to the Helloween of the 80s as its totally different in style. By itself Chameleon is a great cd. 12 songs 71 minutes, the only song I dont like is Crazy Cat, the rest of the eleven I do enjoy.
First Time and Giants are still rockers. The inclusive of a short " If youre going to San Francisco dont forget to wear flowers in your hair " melody in Revolution Now is the best. Windmill, In The Night, Music, Longing are slow but pleasant.
Maybe I like it is because I listen to this Chameleon cd maybe once in two years? haha.
If I listen to it more often, surely I am less thrill.
The booklet is nice too, with the cute little cartoon drawings.
OK now......for the Music At Melody. I read somewhere Chameleon tour has lots of problems, I think its cut short, not too popular and then all the band problems and then goodbye Michael Kiske, and also the sad death of Ingo Schwichtenberg.
Check out the songs played.
1. First Time
2. Kids of the Century
3. Crazy Cat
4. When the Sinner
5. Step Out of Hell
6. I Believe
7. Pink Bubbles Go Ape
8. In the Night
(Michael Kiske - rhythm guitar)
9. Your Turn
10. Windmill
11. Giants
12. Music
13. Revolution Now
14. Guitar solo / Oriental Journey
15. Future World
16. The Chance
17. Eagle Fly Free
18. I Don't Wanna Cry No More
19. Dr. Stein
About 19 songs, 109 minutes as the recording of Dr Stein got cut off halfway, maybe the taper runs out of tape or something...But I think its a historic and important recording for Helloween fans even up till now, I think this recording is still going the rounds especially with everyone having internet.
You can hear problems, especially it being 2nd show. Kiske late on some parts, Markus bass problems, starts and stops.
Ooo Iron Maiden was mentioned, seems Helloween had played this place previously with Maiden.
I really like the audience guys surrounding the taper, they were singing and having fun in between songs, even singing Keeper Of The Seven Keys song, but were silent when Helloween were playing. I really like it. Its a good recording.
So, I wonder how the reaction really was that actual night for those expecting some speedier, faster, heavier songs as usually expected with this band.
- 11 songs from Chameleon ( except the ballad Longing )
- 1 song from a Chameleon single Bside
- 4 songs from Pink Bubble Go Ape
- and only 3 songs from the 80s, plus what is definitely a hint of Follow The Sign on the guitar solo.
- and Dr Stein is cut halfway..sigh.
- Also Kiske singing "Give It Away Give It Away" by Red Hot Chili Peppers during the Revolution Now intro.
But I love it, like I say, maybe because I think its been years since I listen to this bootleg.

15th June is shaping up to something awesome..
Friday line-up is like..... a waste of my precious time?, but still if I am bothered to check out one or two in that list or I rather explore the streets of Derby?
I wonder if visiting an English market scene is more entertaining than watching or listening to some of the bands on the first day.
Sunday is purely Depeche Mode, opps sorry, Ramstein. I like what I know of them, they're kind of interesting.
But Saturday... SATURDAY.... SATURDAY...
..
UFO ( with Vinnie Moore, how cool is that though it would be nice if the bassist was Pete Ways still ), Motorhead, Alice In Chains all on the same day before 'Maiden Donington' explodes at night. Fantastic Four lineup really, and Mastodon, what I knew little of them, sounds alritey too.
I believe the only other time I saw Maiden headline a festival, Queens of the Stone Age was also second on the list, and they played on Stage Two and its like, there I was standing and waiting in a crowded packed field in front of the Main Stage filled with Maiden fans and the sounds of the QOTSA blaring away from another stage. Or was it some other band? I dont know, it sounds all the same to me haha.
,
,
I really got to find a way for Saturday, by hook or by crook.
Ooo I am so useless in making and checking out travel plans.. but first I got to save up. And I will be so brain-jammed if the Donington tickets never reach me at all..
As this crazy idea of mine began with an impulsive idea of backpacking for a week to Europe to see Maiden, I had jump in and booked a three day pass to Donington Download Festival, whereby, I should have waited for them to just sell day tickets instead as my only dream was always seeing Maiden headline Castle Donington in front of their 100,000 home fans. SO I WOULD HAVE save a bit of moneyfor other expenditures. Maybe next time I wont be so impatient, kanchong and kelam kabut.
.
So Stress strass straus.
